The only way forward

The fact after we play Melbourne hes at the media whinging about the storms tactics, the same storm that contains a player we are supposedly about to sign….not a good look.
He doesnt look comfortable with refs, they often dont seem to take much notice of him.
He is getting a rep as a whinger....we can all say who cares but I'm sure as (C) and unofficial spokesman for the club, they probably do care. It doesnt give off a tough professional aura.....quite the opposite.

I think it is at least partly about his form as you stated.

We will be a better team with a less dominant hooker who doesnt make so many silly plays

I'm not sure what he is like as a person but it doesn't bother me that much so long as he isn't a complete muppet.

I want to see him play at a high level. I have only seen this periodically for a while now and its not a week or two - more like a season or two. To me its about form.

I have noticed that some of our players are acting like muppets a little more lately. Gibbs on twitter. Fifita to the press. Moltzen pouting. Farah sooking.

Its no wonder Ellis had to leave for a holiday. He probably needed a break from the morons.

FFS Robbie drops some form and the knives are out, isn't the same since he got dropped from origin?? Didn't he win Dally M 2011 Hooker of the year and just missed out (again) on player of the year.

In general they team is yet to click, injuries and poor form, not just Robbie. In the next few weeks we will click, we will make he eight and we will have a good go at the premiership, and Robbie will be out in front.

Go Tigers

thats a fair point, so many people here are ranting and raving that robbies form has been down the past couple of years, which is really bs when u look at how he went last year.

robbie will come good, i think when we get our injured players back and everyone in the team has gotten over the comings and goings we should press ahead for finals footy.

Hes not as consistent as what hes been in past years but still a match winner and a big part of our team.

Someone said in a earlier post that the refs not clamping down on second markers not standing square….it alone has taken a part of his strength running from dummy half away from him. There are a few hookers not as potent with the dummy half runs like Luke from souths hes been the same.

Not so sure if he should be captain but a must in the team.

King Sirro…........Sheens is losing the plot at training and losing respect. We are in dissaray because of one man.

Is this hearsay or are you just presuming this on the basis of results and a couple of heated press conferences? Have you been to training and seen it? It is a pretty serious and disrespectful allegation to be levelled.

Farah - I suggest that his form has a lot to do with the speed of the play the balls, policing of the markers and lack of a dominant forward pack. No coincidence that Issac Luke has also had a very indifferent year.

BTW discussion is starting to emerge about how Harrigan is instructing his refs. There has been a dramatic drop in the numbers of points scored per game (in day games 37 vs high 40's in other years) and no surprise that teams who are pushing the boundaries of what is legal ie. Melbourne are again winning the ruck (due to the fact that it is not as policed b/c Harrigan wanted less penalites and more flow ~ which is having the opposite effect). So the effect of this is counter to other measures being taken to speed up the game (quick tap re-start, less on-field explanation of decisions. What they are doing with the scrums is just confusing - slowing the game down to get a better looking pre-determined outcome?

Not a try being scored in perfect conditions in the second half on Sunday is not something that the administrators will want to see repeated too often. As a club we need to make Gallop aware of this and to start putting the heat on Harrigan to change his policies.

Gald to hear this Sirro, as Robbie's form has been OK - note, for example, that he is running fourth on the Forum Player of the Year votes.

I'm guessing, then, that what it is about is his leadership and his relationship with Tim Sheens, and the relationship of these to team harmony.

If team harmony has been compromised lately, I would have thought that showing the door to Gibbs and Fulton, two club stalwarts who expected to play for WT for their whole careers, was the most obvious source of disharmony. When management shows a lack of loyalty, and sends mixed messages, no one feels secure any more.

I mainly want to say that I regard Robbie Farah as a great footballer who seemed, last year at least, to be a very effective captain. It seems to me natural that the team captain might develop a closer relationship with the coach. I'm wondering if some players perceived Sheens, and therefore Robbie, as being implicated in the shafting of Gibbs and Fulton.

Sirro, do you know anything that the rest of us don't?

We can speculate all we want. Personally I don't think a coach's job is to be best mates with his players. A coach needs to be revered and respected and while evey single player may not be that way inclined I think the vast majority of players feel that way of Sheens. Watching Farrah and Sheens at media conferences portarys a true indictaion of how they feel and that appears to me to be dissappointment. You can see, even after a win they know they are not performing to the standard they believe they can. When was the last time we dominated a game ? First round game against Souths ? Last year we came within 1 point of a GF spot, at the moment we are on 6th. If we have a win tomorrow night and then the bye we crack 20 points. Sacking Farrah or any other player right now is not the answer. We have a quality hooker in our team, why lose that ? Tigers play an ad lib, speedy style of footy, thus every player is more susceptible to rushing into decisions and thus often making poor ones. It was interesting to note last Sunday with the gluttony of ball we had on the attack against Melbourne, Farrah was the only one telling everyone to settle down and be patient. Something the Tigers desperately need in their game. I think you will see Farrah step up in his leadership tomorrow night without Marshall on the field. The Bulldogs will be extremely physical and if our forwards play strong and dominate, Farrah will come into his own.

farah is out of form ie all year and takes a chunk a big one of our cap not worth it buy three players with his money

This is where the problem is.

All those bagging Farah, don't forget he is carrying a pretty serious groin injury that should have been operated on 6 weeks ago.

This is the typical excuse but it is simply not true.

Robbie I thought was much improved against the Dogs. He tried his guts out and he went away from the dumb kicks most of the time.

The issue still remains though - he is nowhere near our best player at the moment and Sheens needs to take action. He must never kick the ball because there are too many dud kicks. Still I thought against the dogs it was a significant improvement.

I think the problem lies in the fact that if Robbie takes time out to get any injury fixed, Benji will get the captaincy in his absence and Robbie can't stand to see that happen.

7th now and we could drop further depending on results
