I'm reaching out to "THE POM", who is very reliable and normally on the money with info, for another update on player recruitment and the situation with our Coach for 2019 please…..It's been nearly a month since we heard from you....

 II'm still waiting for him to tell us which player we missed out on because of the coaching drama.

Btw I reckon most people with info don't wait to be asked…. Just my 2 cents

Yeah true…even if he says NO update that will suffice....I guess I'm like everyone else on here wanting this coaching "saga" to be clarified

If a thread like this was directed at me, it would make me less likely to respond. But that's me.

If there are negotiations going on around the coaching position they're probably pretty sensitive and I imagine anybody who is getting any inside info is being asked to keep it hush for the moment until there is some certainty. Recruitment is also probably on a bit of a freeze until there is certainty around the coaching position.

How much salary cap do you think we have left ??

I don't know , but interested in others thoughts

We had enough to lure Nathan. So assuming Matterson is around $400k, should have enough for the last two players to be regular quality first graders (my guess is $400k each).

Not arguing with your estimate but, if we've only got $800k left in the kitty, we have a very average roster to show for it. How can clubs like St George, Cronulla, Titans and Newcastle to name a few produce superior rosters for the same money. You'll note I haven't included Easts or Brisbane in my list as I'm not sure the cap applies to them.

It really should be at least that, very probably a fair amount more.
Of all the players we have let go, (about 6 or 7,) we have bought younger cheaper players in their place. Only Matterson who may have been on slightly more than Grant.

We had cash left over from last year, so should be a shipload left really.
