Is this really our worst roster in current times?
2022 was a poor roster and they were all injured.
I think this current roster should really be doing better. Whether they finish 16th or 17th, its an epic failure.

The worst performing on returns of name recognition. On paper the team is ok based on peak career recognition, they should be placed higher on the ladder no doubt.

Certainly not the worst team put on paper for the Tigers. 2002 was bad, 2008 meh, 2013 yikes, Balmain mid to late 90s was diabolical. The Ivan Cleary signings era, terrible. Pascoe/Lees team of the late teens early 20s putrid, however in terms of gumption/heart/passion and complete lack of 2 shits given in the jersey in this years team, especially the 'rep' forward pack that was receiving so much fappage for only 18 months ago, disgusting. Paps, Stef, Bateman gone, 7s have been terrible, 6 is a child, 2-5 non existent. Forwards are in the negative metres. Stank all over it. I dont rate the team at all. Api has even been playing poor this year but is the best of a very rotten bunch so he is immune from criticism. Ive enjoyed the dozen young'ens being blooded but its not NRL standard across the park at all. 2026 is where we will see the gains from this years pains. Just more waiting.

I blame the last 2 muppets in the Backoffice for where we are this year and the results under Madge. As the head coach and his name on the team Madge needs to be accountable too for not taking ownership of the team/decisions. Seems like he was happy to go through the motions for the pay cheque, zero heart in it if the team won or not no matter how red his face got in the press conferences.

Richo and Benji have been able to get a pass this year for inheriting the worst playing roster since Sydney Uni in 1937. Finishing last next year however will 100% be on Benji and Richo and the current regime. 2026 will be very interesting.
