The Ron Burgandy Super-Thread: "why I am so awesome"

well us as fans have to show our grievence some how and the only way to do that is through $$$$ and membership, ive supported balmain/wests tigers since i was 5 years old ive paid my fair share of hard earned money to this club year after year wasting money on those rigged raffles merchandise membership and other stuff they do, all i want is some accountability and reasoning for why after many failed attepmpts that sheens would resort back to the tried and failed?

Why undeserving players get walk up starts into this team week after week, no other coach has got this much lieniency after year after year of failure, nathan brown who coached the dragons to 5 finals appearences in 6 years got the sack, top teams dont accept mediocrity and thats why we are always in the lower half of the competition where winning 50% of your games gets you into the finals

my faith has been pushed to the brink many a time but if 1 finals appearence in 10 years is cool with you then like i said, you are accepting mediocrity
 
It seems sheens has his favourite players, and will move them around willy nilly and out of position just so they are included in his team.

Alas my attempt at humour has been lost upon you ron…Truthfully though, we can whinge and complain all we like on here, it won't change the team lineup, unless a small miracle occurs between now and Sunday afternoon. I'm not thrilled with the team either and while people at the club check this place out, I don't pretend for an instant they take any of the advice we dish out on board.

I can organise a cross and have a big backyard if you're up to it.

At $5 a head I should be able to get enough to get to the next match in Sydney from Brisbane. :sunglasses:
 
With all this talk of being heard, and Ron the leading voice, it got me thinking. Each State allows members of any association to become an Incorporated Association, which can open a bank account, accept donations, enter contracts and add and remove members etc. Why dont we incorporate the **West Tigers Selection Committee Inc**. Each forum member who joins must donate to the non-for-profit Incorporated Association. Ron can be president. I will be treasurer and have final say on all bets lodged by the association (and of course I will take a success fee). One of the mods (Willow? :laughing: ) will make a great secretary, keeping things in order. Each week we will take donations from fans and in return they get to vote on who should play. The WTSC Inc will then publicly announce the considered team selections. This might be online, via newspaper, radio etc. Seriously something that novel could get media attention. No joke this kind of thing works. :smiley:

which part are you talking about Stryker? Anyway - Ron has a point - our voice should be heard somehow - there are way too many people on this forum who know what they are talking about - their voice should be heard somehow and you included. We need people like Ron but Ron can never be a Jesus even though he feels that way because its obvious that Ron is trying to tell us something and we should try to interpet that and not just knock it on its head. thats way too easy. every forum member is important in my books - let them say what they want to say without breaking the rules.

i would sign it, id sign one for steve folkes too, i think sheens hasnt advanced with the times and the modern game and his record speaks for it, we need a coach with modern day success not past glories of 15 years ago.

bennet is a great coach because you look at this dragons team and look at the broncos team that won it in 06, those 2 teams play nothing alike, and thats called a game plan to suit your players, sheens tries to make players suit his game plan, and thats where we fail
