The seasons over what next?

We need to start planning for next year blood every player we have in our top 30 who is in our future plans pick a spine we plan on moving forward with I hate to say but it’s over for benji he just isn’t up to

I watched Benji before the game and he doesn’t seem switched on.Its like he’s just going thru the motions. Would really call him a champion if he comes out during the week and retires. Same goes for rowdy imo.

Yeah he just doesn’t have it in defence got completely caught out a number of times and his kicking game was terrible game away a number of 7 tackle sets you have to ice them ones

The season is indeed over...so we need to use the next few weeks to experiment.

Packer captain
Vice captain LL or Josh.
Let's at least see what happens...I just do not care about finishing 'as high as possible' anymore. Parra came last and it helped their rebuild. Let's use the next few weeks to see what we have moving forward.

Madge is so stubborn I expect the same speeches, vets and stuff for another six weeks...but it would be better to step back and see the long term picture right now.

100% mate agree with every you just said look at Penrith last year the struggled but blooded a lot of players now there reeling the benefits

Hard to say given I don't exactly what goes on at training behind closed doors but something needs to change regarding the players mindset. I don't believe it's the coach. Even Farah said on NRL it drove him nuts for well over 10 years at the club and no one knows what to do to get them to come out and play like the Storm/Chooks each week.

Physically I thought we could go with the Knights, and if we were mentally prepared to play, then I think we could have matched them. But our guys just don't have a winning, smart or determined mindset to go at it each week. Frustrating...

It was a depleted Knights team which I thought wed outplay, but we came out flat from the getgo.Im increasingly concerned about the leadership of this team, and that includes Madge(understanding we cldnt do much better)..but something is missing

It’s weird that the forwards are being dominated every game now when before it was not the case at all. Aloiai,Mikaele etc have lost much of their aggression, only Packer and Macintyre have some but it’s not enough. Brooks is playing with nil confidence and perhaps has always been a myth. Marshall the enigma still cant do a proper grubber kick or tackle after 16 seasons so needs to just retire. Grant was really really missed ,he has been the heart and soul of the team big time! Talau is a great winger but weak in the centre’s so needs to stay on the wing for a while yet,

Perfect example...we all laughed at Cleary finishing behind us as they tanked, but it gave them a chance to experiment for the following season.

We need to give the last half a dozen games to Liddle and Madden...try AD at 6.

Packer captain.

At least find out now whilst there is nothing on the line.

Penrith struggled due to Pornhub. They have huge talent and can bounce back as they did. They were in the finals for years. We have been out of them for years. We need to find our own players and Penrith is the exact model we should look at.

Drop Lawrence, Benji, Mbye. Hopefully Eiso goes for Twal. Blood Madden, Liddle and Simpkins.
Recruit a dozen new players. And most importantly sign a captain, preferably an experienced forward. We desperately need on field leadership. We have no leaders in our club.

Part of an article in the SMH re Michael Clark,
My heart aches for those fans and members as I sit in front of the TV and watch a performance like [Saturday night] and just cannot rationalise it," Hagipantelis said on Sunday. "I just do not understand where a performance like that comes from."

The club's performance away from the field has been far more pleasing after Wests Ashfield members last year passed resolutions to amalgamate with Balmain Leagues Club, wiping Balmain's $2.5 million debt to the NRL.

They also paid off the $1.8 million the Tigers themselves owed to the NRL.

The future looks bright we are debt free CLEARYS mess will be clean up COE will be up and running.
So hang in there everyone its been 10 years since we've had success so what's a coupla more years

May as well be the Roosters again for me. Feel nothing for them, and will be envious of other clubs that might win - and definitely don't want Parra or Penrith.
