There are magazines, some papers, some radio and TV that do a great job talking about rugby league…you just gotta find the quality & ignore the rubbish which is not restricted just to media as the thread title here proves.

Some breakdown of they key match ups? The coaching battle? The kickers? How will Reddy handle Inglis? Who will be the weak link?

You know, the type of in depth analaysis the AFL media give their game?

Instead, we get yearly "meet so and so's girlfriend", Phil and that woman who both know zero about RL, a tv coverage with zero depth aside from a couple of mins of Sterlo, paper talk all week about what players ate.

The problem is that the AFL media KNOW their game and are hard core.

Our "league journos" dead set know very little about the game and therefore we get crap like the TELE served up all week.

For mine last night showed that Hayne is not there yet.

Moreover I blame Anderson in many respects.

Hayne is a great individual player but he is not the guy to lead a team at this stage. He is too much of an individualiast at this stage.

Keating should have replaced Robson as soon as he was fit. The combination of Mortimer and Robson was not up to the task of providing the platform for Hayne to work off.

Slater wasnt that good, he made 2 errors, one of them was crucial, and got lucky with that penalty.

I think they both shouldve got 6.5.

I am a die hard parra fan and even I hate his guts..
He is meant to be the greatest player of all but relied on a Toyota cup player to do the big things in a game that was " made for him"…
He is an arrogant pr**k. At the fan day after the grand final he turned up pissed and wouldn't sign things or take any photos..
