The things we can control

Yes i agree overall we were hard done by tonight. We deserved to win. Im sure a lot of focus will be on the decisions of those pathetic officials, so i thought i'd take a step back and look at the things we can control, because lets face it, the referees are out of control.

*Bulldogs first try. 2 players get tangled up like 2 school girls playing twister, leaving an easy run for Inu. Heighno has the easiest tackle in league to make, a tackle from behind, but somehow manages to never look like making it.

*Execution. Damm it was bad. We did well to create some chances, but we couldnt finish it. Farah's poor kick in the opening minutes robbed Ryan of a great tryscoring chance. Then Galloway flicking his hand back to knock the ball on. Long passes to Marika hitting him flat footed when they needed to be in front of him so he could run on to them. Benji trying to be too cute, throwing a forward pass to Blair on the 2nd tackle. Marika falling over in the 2nd half costs us a kick from in front, 2 points gone.

*And the last thing we can control….......Benji's fitness. This guy is unfit. Yes it was a frantic game, but he was struggling at times, just like he was in the cowboys game. Lose some weight, get fit, stop being cute, and maybe we start winning these games.

On your second point you 100% spot on.

I said after the eels game when marika got 4 that Benji hit on the chest at full flight something that hadn't happened all year tip then. People were talking up marika ( deservedly so) about his pace. The thing is a good pass and any of our winger can sneak into he corners for tries. The thing is the ball hasn't hit them on the chest at flight bar that eels game. Tonight the passes were off it doesn't matter if your usain bolt if u can't catch it at speed 99% of the time defenders will get across in cover.

Good post. We need to put the refs issue behind us. It happened, it's done.
We need to also kick better. Last week against saints was top shelf. Especially 2nd hatoasts the outside backs seemed tuned to it. Tonight seemed without much thought

Yeah a very poor opening from us.

I was dissapointed to see Moltzen get overtaken by Blair running back to cover the break that led to the Reynolds try

Add to that **not** taking the 2 points when it was on offer in the first half. The set of 6 after the penalty got us nothing!
