The Word a From The Top

The point of the OP has been missed slightly, it was that the topic of defence, and actually stopping the mountain of tries that were happening, was completely ignored, yes we contributed to own loss, but we still could have tackled when they had the ball. Moses and his defence reads were terrible ang the whole team did not want to try and stop the opposition.
Taylor looked to be in shock and didn't want the D word mentioned,
It was almost that they both thought that we would have won if we improved our handling.
It was bizarre.

Maybe if we had a coach who held players accountable and a captain who didn't have an affable dorky nature we wouldn't "beat ourselves" everytime we lose like this.

Memo to Woods…that was a gutless effort yesterday and you were not competing personally at all. You did nothing to lead by example. You took all the same easy runs you do every week. You only completed tackles when a player was within a 1/2 meter of you. You were lazy on the inside all game. If you get rewarded with a Kangaroo jersey based on this year I'll be amazed.

he was sick… dont know why we played him if he wasnt going to have the energy...

I can see where he's coming from - our completion rate was barely above 50% yesterday, which is unfathomably poor. Our defence was poor, but we were worked off our feet due to the amount of ball the Raiders had.
I was more concerned that he gave the season a pass mark.
We can't continue to use the inexperience and youth excuse. A lot of the squad has been signed or re-signed under JT, and with Farah gone he can't use the excuse that it's not his team either.
It's time we started getting results.

i couldnt agree more, the 2017 team is what Taylor would have planned for. he has re-signed and recruited, regardless of the cap problems (which he knew they existed when he took the job). So in 2017 there is no place for him or the players to hide if things don't work.

HALF a century.
Our defence wasnt ''Poor'.
It Was almost nonexistent.
even worse than in in the Panthers Game

The truth is that as a group they are not mentally up to the big occasion. To put all the pressure with regards to organising the attack, kicking in play and kicking players' butts on a 20 year old near rookie five eight is absurd. On top of that near half of the team were just getting over a tough virus.

The reality is we need better forwards like Gillet and Jackson and decent centres who can tackle if we are to continue down the Broses path.
