There is no bigger grub in the game

Married man with two kids out at 4am in the morning. With, it appeared to be, a very nice looking blonde lady.

Hope the wife does not see the cctv footage.

Nothing good happens after midnight, so the saying goes.

Having watched the footage can I advance the opinion that neither participant really looks great? The instigator certainly opens up with a fairly agressive hand into the side of Slater's head - you don't do that sort of thing unless you're looking to start a blue and lo and behold he wore one for his troubles. Based on the footage it's hard to see how you can reach any conclusion other than it was unprovoked, confrontational and out of proportion to what was happening.

Having said that Slater could just as easily have taken a step back and avoided escalating it further. He doesn't really need to throw a punch to protect himself. Fair enough, he seems to react instinctively to what happened and it seems like a reflex action - if it happened on the field most people would be cheering for more.

I'm not going to say Slater deserves any punishment for what he did but by the same token I don't think he comes out smelling like roses either. I'd desribe his reaction as understandable rather than admirable…

Anyway just my opinion...

The thing for Slater is being a professional sportsman he already has a target on his back for all the imbeciles out there.
Being out at a nightclub at 3am during a World Cup doesn't help his situation. Just wait till the Cup is over then go and enjoy yourself.

No Excuse. The guy should be allowed to go out and enjoy himself without drunk idiots getting in his way.

How is this going to make any difference?

Trolls show their true intentions eventually

I actually think he, and any other player who was at the club that night, and drinking, should be sent home immediately. Saying that, we don't know if Billy or anyone else were intoxicated.

Some clubs have a no alcohol policy for their players all season, and here are the supposed cream of the crop and they can't go a few weeks without booze for the sake of representing their country in a world cup? That's poor form. If management knew about it or even came up with the idea then sack them too.

Going out to a club is one thing, staying there until close and getting drunk is not on. Team bonding can happen before and after the tournament, but any professional should abstain from booze during an international tournament. Or at least until after their team is out of the tournament. Would you see Olympians getting drunk a few days before their competition? Nope. Afterwards they can go nuts, but not until they've finished playing…

**Slater playing the 'victim' card. again. "I'm ok…I'm not in pain". You got a harmless open palm to the face you grub.**

This grub is held in the highest honour by a lot of people in the game yet keeps having "accidents" and things he says are "taken out of context"

Lets not forget it was also Slater that abused Corey Paterson because he suffered from depression in 2010\. I hope someone just smashes the crap out of him one day.

Id LOVE to see how you'd react to a ''harmless'' **open palm to your face**, outside a nightclub at 3 in the morning

Shock horror that all the Slater/Storm haters have jumped on the bandwagon here

Are you Picasso? Coz im fairly sure the side of your head, where your ear etc is, isn't your face. It was a slight push to the side of his head.

Slater wasn't entirely at fault in this instance but he is a proven wanker on the footy field and that doesn't go unnoticed by many. If he was pushing in the queue he deserved to be told to shove off by someone that is standing there waiting.

As for his missus blubbering on about how the bloke "could have killed Billy", geez! It was a love tap. As long as she comes out next time her sweet little innocent Billy kicks someone in the throat on the footy field or slides into someones head feet first or shoulder charges some bloke in the head after he has long ago passed the ball (ala Winterstein this season) and says the same thing.

King hits are a p#*s weak act and deserve to be severely punished by the law but if you compare the two hits that took place in the Slater incident it is Slater's one that is the king hit. He was provoked but overreacted like the cat he is.

He will hopefully get his one day.

Are your eyes painted on and just there for vanity purposes? read the part i highlighted, i was quoting Irvine's description of the event Ray Charles.

Put the whole part of his quote in inverted commas then Axl, instead of one word. That way it is easier for us mortals without your towering intellect to comprehend. Shake a tailfeather.

Clearly your interlect is in dire straights if you couldn't work out what i was referring to despite the minor grammatical error. Either that or you had no other comeback than to drag out the old grammar nazi routine cos you're so desperate to get the final word in.

The last sentence in my post though, i was actually thinking of you when i wrote that, cos i just know how much you love Billy and the entire Storm organization and how much you are in awe of their entire set up down there

I am honoured that you are thinking of me but more than a little disturbed I must say (especially when you go to the lengths of PM me like you have in the past).

The Storm are certainly a classy organization, you only have to look at the record books for seasons 2007 and 2009 to prove that.

How come you're yet to criticize Irvine's description of the event? afterall, he's the one who originally made the ''open palm to your face'' comment? i was just quoting the guy, it seems as though your problem is with him not me

Would like to have seen your reaction if it were Farah

You're a blind Slater/Storm hater. Always have been, always will be.

Awwwwwwww. Dry your eyes fella FFS.

Yep, I hate the Storm, they are proven cheats, the record books prove that as I said. A couple of their players are acknowledged to be dirty players (Smith and Slater have done numerous grubby things on the field). Why wouldn't anybody hate them. IIRC you seem to take great delight in abusing Souths for some reason, so again…..dry your eyes.

If it was Farah I would have the same opinion of the incident, besides, what has Farah even remotely got to do with it? Clutching at straws again.

Don't PM me again, no-one wants a lovesick internet stalker. Thank you.

When did i ever PM you?

PS, not a bad job yourself there of crying your eyes out about Billy and co. Poor bubba

Do us all a favour and fade to oblivion

Wow, you really are a comedian! That is hilarious! :unamused:
November 21st 2012 was the date it seems. Like I said, please refrain from doing it again, it is sad and just more than a little embarrassing TBH. Just try to be man enough to just stick to posting on the forum eh?

Thatta boy

\

So if you got hit in the face for no reason you would just take it??
\

mate if someone punched you outside a nightclub would you walk away or in the heat of the moment punch back.

You missed a few questions put to you, Irv

Thanks for pointing that out Ink.

If I was highly paid professional footballer with some intelligence … YES I would just take it and move on because I deal with it every day. It's part of being high profile and I get paid exceedingly well to catch a ball and move on.

YES If someone punched me again being a high profile sportsman I wouldn't smash him in the face. I would just take it.

Unfortunately Billy only knows how to "accidentally" kick someone in the throat..."accidentally" elbow a player on the ground. Abuse a player about his depression and be "taken out of context".

Then there is the James Graham biting incident....another innocent mishap.

Yes Billy ears attacking James teeth

it was an awful incident , Billy ear should of got the 16 week ban , not James and his fangs
