Regardless of how it ended, and whatever we perceive the club to be now- Tim Sheens & the staff he introduced, the schemes & structures he introduced, the links to good schools & juniors- that is all here because of him.
Yes, the last couple of years were rough. He never recovered from losing Scott Prince, for mine.
But he did much more than win a premiership.
He took the shambles that was Lamb/Langmack & co, and created a professional, genuine football club.
Hell yes he deserves life membership.

Can anyone on this Forum remember who West Tigers CEO after Noyce. I remember Sheens had a big argument with him over KPI, and Sheen said it was either the CEO or him had to leave.

agree though that his last couple of years were a write off.
definately deserves life membership of weststigers (to go along with his life membership at the panthers).

This is another step in moving forward creating a legacy for Wests Tigers. While Players who spend 10 years at an organization could easily fall into this category, traditionally Administrators/Support personal would need to give longer service to an organization before recieving such high accolades.
Either way, I'm not fused. In 50 years we will probably see another 20-30 people added and I'm certain 1-2 coaches could make the list.
Well done to the board for looking outside the square, and forging ahead as the Wests Tigers!

Thoroughly deserved in my opinion.
You would have to think Canberra and Penrith would have also affording him a Life Member as well. Sheens' Raiders in the late 80's early 90's was the best club team I ever saw and won 3 premierships in that period with so much entertaining football. A lot of the players from that team have gone on to be NRL/ State of Origin coaches - Bellamy, Big Mal, Daley, Stuart, Dean Lance, Furner, etc which is a great reflection on Sheen's ability.
Won us a premiership and cleaned up the mess previous coaches left us with.
Scott Prince leaving us as well as career ending injuries to TT and Dwyer did not assist Sheens at the end of his coaching with us. Marshall would have been more effective if Prince stayed with us longer.
Correct me if I am wrong but I once read Sheens wanted Marshall as captain when Prince left but WT Management dangled the captaincy to Farah put match the offer to not move to Titans with Prince. Happy to be corrected if my statement is untrue.
