Think this year is bad wait till next year.

if i read what MS GO said and is correct, wait to see how many wins we will get on the board, next year we may get a big fat ducks egg.
now if the club is able to off load big red and chris to super leaque and there is about 4 others of contract, what the hell does that leave us with to replace big red and chris, they are not great but there is nothing in the 2 lower grades to replace them with. on my count we have or will have let go some 20 player since last year to the end of this year and we are still over the cap, i would love to see the books because things dont add up. i for one am sick of the continued bullshit coming from the management of this club, it is always the same wait to next year then the next and so it goes on and on. the titans went broke yet the NRL were going to buy DCE for them maybe we need to be owned by the NRL and buy who we want. NOT HAPPY BUT I LOVE MY TIGERS BUT THEY ARE MAKING IT SO HARD TO SUPPORT THEM.

At least some players will have a handful of NRL games under their belts for 2016 otherwise the cupboard is looking bare.

Lawrence is on a fortune and I believe the Board will have already identified him.

We have Seve and Peni to come into the backline plus Dallas Graham and Liolevave. A young but talented team with Brooks and Moses at least having players with pace and elusiveness outside of them.

I think we should keep Lawrence now. He is going well in the backrow.

I agree, he has been going well, but the Club is probably trying to get someone to make a contribution to help offset his backended deal.

If it wasn't for his backended contract, then I would agree that he is a good option as a backrower, but he is putting heavy pressure on the Cap…..

Who is going to pay Chris what we are paying him, even if we chip in with some of the contract???
Anyway 2016 will be ugly, just not nearly enough hardened NRL standard players, lots of kids who will probably make the grade in a few years but without putting lots of hard heads around them this process is going to take time and the bottom line is these kids might not make the next step

Obviously the club won't release any details on how many more reasonably well paid players they need to do away with before going into black figures with the CAP. It is also obvious, based on Marina's statement of up to another three years before the CAP problem is cleared, that the club hasn't yet hit anywhere near the bottom of the planned austerity level. Be brave followers.

I read somewhere that Lawrence is on 300k for next year. Considering the explosion of salaries and the minimum wage being 85k, I really don't see it as a major issue. (though I may be wrong on his figure)

Next year can be worse?how??

Are they bringing in relegation?

Chrissy is probably on somewhere between 5-600k for next season with his back ended deal. Must be double what his previous years were to balance out the value of his contract.

If we get rid of Lawrence and galloway, on top of Patty and Halatau the only contracted player over 26 will be Robbie. That's absurd, will be by far the youngest team ever to play NRL next season.

But by then our kids would ahve already had this year (and last for some of them) to cut their teeth so they wouldn't be rookies anymore and could step up. Our squad is really not that bad, it's just by not playing to our strengths many of our players have become lost and tactically we get slaughtered.

Releasing players before their contract ends is not an option.
Rowdy has been awful for years but we are now FINALY getting most of our money's worth out of him. He must stay for 2016.

Doesn't matter how many games they have under their belt if theyre not up to First Grade standard, some will be no better than they are this year

Same here, even if they moved Chris on , it's likely that we would have to pay the majority of his money anyway.
And he is one of the few that are trying each week

Lawrence has become one of our most important players IMO, runs the hard lines. So happy to see him doing well, one of few positives this season.

The club is run by the NRL. Surely they could just identify that it's ridiculous to force us to keep cutting players even though we are the worst team in the comp, just because previous managemenet were completely stupid.

So over it.

You would think we would at least ask them for assistance in the matter.

How could they assist though?

Given the various salary cap issues over the past 10-15yrs the NRL needs to be consistent with their approach to poorly managed clubs.

They are providing assistance in other ways but because a NRL club stuffed up their books and will need time to recover isn't something they should or will get heavily involved with as it would be unfair to all the other clubs

I prefer to know our situation rather than be another Parra and get some wooden spoons only to find out all through that time we were spending over the cap more than any other club.

It's a frustrating time for us supporters
