This game is important , maybe very important

Toughest game of the year so far that’s for sure. I don’t think many give us a chance (unlike the cows game), people still thinking our bubble has burst, etc.

It certainly won’t be the end of our season if we lose but if we win it will really bring some confidence & belief moving forward.

Can someone pencil in the games that are not important for me please. Thanks!

I would love to see us beat Penrith at Penrith but on current form…Hopefully it's close but the Panthers forward pack worries me, Peachey despite being a midget is always hard to handle and Maloney might miss 8 tackles per game, but he's good for 2-3 try assists most weeks too. I think the return of Cleary will go a long way to deciding this game - if he's on song early we won't win but if he's rusty and prone to mistakes then we're right in it.

The first 10 games are not important anymore. They are done and dusted. The next 15 are important.

If we win, I fully expect the same thread again going into the Dogs game. Something along the lines of having to win as favourites. Then we’ll need to beat a depleted Roosters team. And so on, and so on.

The panthers have a distinct weakness out wide Chrighton, Phillips on the wings and DWZ at fullback. Hooker Katoa is a step down from Peter Wallace and their bench has some inexperience in Hetheringtin and Egan. Peachey also moves out to centre with Cleary changing a winning halves combo.

We have to shutdown Kikau, RCG, CHN and Benji has to kick well as it will put their back 3 under pressure.

It will be hard at Penrith but it’s not mission impossible like some are saying.

We are now in the danger zone of the year. The middle section is our notoriously bad stretch. Okay every game is important but IMO we need six points in the next three weeks. The Newcastle and Parra games were four points that should have been in the bank.

Okay we can afford a loss, but I think than it piles on the pressure for the next week and so on. We have to become hard nosed and ruthless. Winning can become a habit

What did Laurie Daley say once on fox had me laughing for the whole week…..

It will be a game of two halfs and i think the team that scores the most points will win ....

I miss him sometimes he was so funny

Youre bad what?

Do you mean 'your' bad what?

I agree, these types of threads are a tad tedious but I'll add a comment anyway. It's an important game for the team to reestablish credibility. It was a creditable win against the Cowboys but it was at Leichhardt, the Cows were out of form and we had a rampaging Fonua. This week we play the team running second, that has a loaded roster and it's at Penrith. A big challenge and a big opportunity. I will be happy if we play well and go close….

I would say they way we play and compete will reastablish cred… Not that I think it needs it.
If we play well, give it everything and walk off heads high (yeh I know, cliche king) then imo that's ok... Of course a win would be awesome tho

We will know within the first 10 mins if the WTs are on or not. I have faith. C'mon boys, show all these doubters that we're contenders.
