My love for the game began as a 14/15 year old when I used to watch the then magpies team run up and down the hill on Harbourd Road Woodbine. I was curios watched the boys sweat and an older man sit at the bottom of the hill having a smoke yelling at them. I worked out that I could gain free access to the then Orana park ( CSS)if I would go at half time so me and friends would ride our bikes down and watch. The passion grew from there and threw thick and thin even throwing jerseys out of car windows as I fell in love.
2000 was tough but you know what my love of the game was bigger than the politics that was occurring around my team.Wests Tigers and the love of rugby league became my new passion and I haven't looked back it is what it is and again the highs and lows became my passion do not care where they play if I can go I do.Now many years later my children 10,7,and 4 chant for the team they love without the knowledge of the associated history and politics . They and I follow The mighty Wests Tigers a team we love.CSS or LO share the passion Wests Tigers new generation of pure excellence the past is the past we should never forget it but thats where it ends. As my Kids now chant Tigers Tigers Tigers.
