Maybe you should READ the post properly.
I didn't say it was his 'fault'.
I said he, as captain, didn't seem to help in manage it.
Every team has a captain whose job it is to lead them, and hold the team together - and he doesn't seem to be doing or saying much to hold us together.
If that's because his influence is lost when he's not on the field, or whatever reason, it's not good enough.
Not everyone is captain material.

We've been coughing up leads for the best part of ten years. No one dragged Farah over coals for it.

Maybe because Farah was at least seen to be involved as captain whether everyone approved that style or not. Whereas Woods is not seen by many to be involved at all. It is sort of getting a good pay increase while having a bludge on the job.

No worries Captain Overreaction.

Now Woods is bludging as well as a bad captain.

At least the board has moved on from Taylor as the whipping boy.

Alot of money came in for the Titans late. Alot ! Enough to take us from 1.67 favourites to $2 outsiders. About 15 minutes before kick off.

Did someone know something we didn't ? Just saying.

Not unusual apparently, according to the TAB mouth on BSB this morning they accepted a bet for $100,000+ on Manly last night just before kickoff.
Big game against Parra.,probaly will define our season.

Well obviously the captain has nothing to do it with it. If a hard nosed bloke like Farah couldn't turn our fortunes maybe it runs deeper than who has the "C" next to their name?

You are not suggesting another "C" next rung up the ladder? Being there done that

Reading some of these comments about Woods as captain seem unbelievable.

Im not sure what people expect.

Every side in the NRL is full of really good players (some more than others), at various stages the other side is going to have the better of it in a game. We are unlikely to control many games start to finish and not have the other side be on top at some point.

Brisbane had Penrith on toast and lost. Canberra had Newcastle (everyones tip for the spoon) on toast and drew. Souths couldnt get over Saints who have shown very little to date. Given we have no emotional attachment to those teams, we can look it more objectively. Do we all still think that Brisbane will be right up there, Souths are a good side and Canberra will threaten for the 8, despite their hiccups on the weekend. Im sure we do.

Why do we then panic so much when we lose.

I don think anyone thinks we can win the comp, but I think we have also shown we are not hopeless either.

You are like AHX on speed. Get off the gear.

Sideline eye…..think you better check my previous posts. Farah lost me when he got potter sacked but hopefully he can improve our team given we are paying him marque money....at least his experience is worth something.

I have read here previously that Potters contract expired and it was just not renewed, a bit different from sacking.

Calm down

Moses! Lol

Woods had had 3 weeks and you've sacked him… Looking to the future indeed.. Hahaha

You could tell after one week, Ink.
Much as I like him as a player he's not a captain at present.
Have you seen him even once getting the players together behind the sticks and revving them up?
Or going to the ref and standing up for his team?
Moses does all the talking already - he hates to lose and is not shy on getting up someone who needs a kick along.
To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if Woods gives the job back to Farah.

I don't think Robbie would accept it back.

I don't think we can blame this on errors, Titans had just as many. They had twice as many missed tackles too which means we should've had plenty of attacking opportunities, we just didn't capitalise on them like the Titans did. That second half they blitzed us, and we still seem to lack urgency in defence for 40-60 minute window.

While disappointing, I think this can be rectified for the Eels game.

If it's not rectified the Eels would put a cricket score on us. 😕

Ok.

Robbie is not the type of person to turn his back on the team down no matter what, especially if it involves the captaincy. What surprises me is the seemingly lack of other potential candidates for captaincy. But maybe only because I am not familiar with all the players.

I think Robbie would love finishing his career at top of the team.
