Thurston gone for the season?

Looks like Thurston may be gone for the season after copping friendly fire from Ashley Harrison. His cruciate ligament looked to go in his knee as he was hit awkwardly by Harrison when they both missed Watmough in the second half of the Origin match.

ACL confirmed probable issue . Was having a great game . Cowboys will struggle now . Maybe top 5 isn't beyond us yet . Its hard , you wear your Qld jersey and support them and the first thing I thought was when I saw the hyperextension "great' he will miss the Tigers game " I am slightly ashamed of myself now

Don't be ashamed Happy, we all have sympathy for Thurston and wish him a speedy and complete recovery however at the end of the day what ever helps the Wests Tigers get ahead can't be sneezed at we need all the help we can get.

ABsolutely correct. If we dont pull our finger out we'll need another half a dozen playmakers to go down for us to even make the 8

WTs play the Cowboys in a couple of weeks, if Thurston is out, then IMO that is at least a small advantage to us. I agree WTs need to lift a lot but not having Thurston in the opposition team has to be a help- surely.

Funny thing is I actually like Thurston heaps, (even though he is a QLDer).

He is probably the player who I get my 2 older boys to pay attention to most when he is on TV
