Having never voiced an opinion on social media before, I feel compelled to make sure as a long time member and supporter of the club that our coach and all our management know that they have my full support as well as many other tiger supporters (that are not members) and also the support of many other club supporters.
Due to a ridiculous conflict of interest with managers, coaches and media that has been allowed to develop over many years, it is now hard just to enjoy going to the footy, cheering for your team win lose or draw without it turning into a drama series of Ben Hur proportions.
Firstly before I thank and applaud the current Tigers team I would like to express my personal disappointment that DCE was not able to finish his career at Manly on better terms. An ornament to the game through his career for not only his wonderful standard of play but for his personal conduct on and off the field.
To our current Tigers team, I would like to thank them for having the courage to support our coach Benji Marshall and in doing so, our management led by Shane Richardson.
The so called experts in the media have time and time again told us (the unknowledgeable public) that the coach has lost the locker room. BUT when the team makes one of the greatest showings of support to the coach you are accused of bullying, so they turn around and accuse you of being hypocritical. I think we will let the case for the defence rest there. This is what real clubs and teams are made of, the effort of all of you is what is really appreciated by fans and supporters. Trophies and wins are great but what really is remembered and appreciated, is your efforts you put in week after week. C u all at Commbank stadium on Monday.
Thank you Benji Marshall and team and thank you Shane Richardson and your team.
Let's play Tiger Footy, we might win, we might not, but give it your best shot.,
P.S. I don't know Benji Marshall, but I think he is one of the most honest and honourable people that a club (Wests Tigers) is fortunate enough to have, especially in a society that lacks integrity and also the intestinal fortitude to stand up for what is right as opposed to wrong.
