Farah was always one of our weakest tacklers. Whether or not Walters can keep it up is my only concern.

He missed Punt Hunt off a standing start in the teeth of the defensive line during the second half... I mean no need to worry he’s still in the team but I couldn’t count his tackles from that game on one hand IIRC. Missed a couple

To be fair it’s because Bof’s been told to stay on the sideline, BJ and Benji lacked coherency and Benji defs made more effective tackles than Thompson and Jennings combined, although CT’s lack of dominance in the ruck’s concerning.

Probably a few extra missed as Frizzy similar to Sims on the other side was clearly tasked with putting a hurt on our halves. Great win!

I liked the look of walters. Apart from a few errors he made truck loads of tackles and looked lively on the ball. I really liked what he offers.

He impressed me, he's all footballer, if the Tigers are smart they'll lock him up on a long contract, can only see good things in the future.

Locking players up to long contracts especially after a handful of games is the fast way to the bottom. Thankfully Maguire seems to have a pretty good handle on things. As for Walters, at present he is a solid fill in, nothing less or nothing more

The Frizell breaks I thought Lucy was entitled to think Benji would cover on the inside - if Lucy had committed to Frizell there would have been a huge overlap. What Lucy was slow on was the Ben Hunt break right near the end (where Vaughn dropped it) - he didn't even lay a hand on him to notch up a missed tackle. That happens though, I'm not going to be too critical of him for that. Halves should be in with a good shot of exploiting tired marker forwards at the end of the game like that.

It’s up to the Leilua bro’s to help him out when that happens but when it’s round 1 and both came to the club a bit unfit Benji was always gonna get caught out one on one - he won’t have many better players than Frizell running at him during the year too. Benji needs to do a bit better there though Frizell glided past him, I’m sure Madge will work on it

Speed is the biggest issue on both occasions and they shouldn't have been sliding ...didn't help that the Dragons were winning the ruck and we were on the back foot in the last 15 minute

Benji was great don't get me wrong ...but he has definitely lost more speed since 2019 , particularly off the mark

Musgrove got 0 tries going for the tryline and Mikaele contributed to two tries by getting away a late offload and getting a quick PTB. Musgrove committed more initially but wrestled and gave them enough time to peel off and reset. Both looked dangerous though.

I thought Musgrove looked great in limited minutes. Heaps of post contact metres and always took four guys to stop him.

In fact all our props looked good and will only improve as the year goes on

I liked the look of walters. Apart from a few errors he made truck loads of tackles and looked lively on the ball. I really liked what he offers.

He impressed me, he's all footballer, if the Tigers are smart they'll lock him up on a long contract, can only see good things in the future.

Locking players up to long contracts especially after a handful of games is the fast way to the bottom. Thankfully Maguire seems to have a pretty good handle on things. As for Walters, at present he is a solid fill in, nothing less or nothing more

Just like I am free to express my views...and I will say it again 2 offer a long contract to a 25 year old after two NRL games is not way I would go and I dare say the club would go. In this day and age the clubs are very reluctant to offer anyone even a three year deal. Of course if David Fafita was available they would probably make a exception.
