The Tigers are sick and tired of losing players to the Sharks in recent seasons - and may be about to strike back. I am hearing that the Tigers are keen on boom Sharks youngster Valentine Holmes - a classy fullback with a huge future. The Tigers need a fullback following Tedesco's decision to head to the Raiders and Holmes could be the perfect solution - at a lot less dollars than Tedesco was asking.

I heard this guy is a gun..?….Funny if we got him and he turned out to be a superstar with the likes of Brooks, Mosses and Sirro playing with him!....We'd all be saying Teddy who!...come on Mayer go for him!...I hope this is one rumour that comes true!...plan B

The fullback cabinet is starting to look as empty as Cronulla's premiership cabinet

Just a question on the bloke in question , did he play in the Under 20 SOO this year ??

I don't get to watch many NYC games these days but I have seen him somewhere

Yeah he played for QLD U20's. Didn't get much ball during the game though.

I hope ur on the ball here, but gee iam getting sick of all the crap that is put up about who we are going to get and who's staying. We had it on 100% that Inu would be joining us within weeks, well that has now pasted then some one who knew Teddy said don't worry he will resign. I just wish there was some sustains to any claim made, the whole forum could use a good pick me up signing right about now.

His signed at the sharks until then end of 2015\. After reading up on him, it seems that he is willing to leave the sharks as he doesn't seem to happy there and might be a little home sick even. However i highly doubt he will return to the Cowboys considering the way he was treated as a junior, and the Broncos have more then enough fullbacks to field three or four teams. I think we could have a massive chance of securing his services for possibly next year and/or definitely for 2016 considering the $300k+ we were throwing at Teddy plus a few others coming off inflated contracts (Blair, lawerence, Anasta, Moltzen). Could be a more than adequate replacement for Teddy and we could still be fielding a future SOO big three, all be it with one of them playing for the two-heads.

Please at least try Mayer, it could be the difference between a decade of dominance or being a solid top 8 team 😛ray:

Hes a weapon, sign him up and he will be the perfect replacement. Saw him play a game recently and he absolutely killed it. Only downside is he is a QLD rep but I can live with that if it gets us a premiership!
 
What about the Gutherson Manly fullback who played in the same game ??

He stood out more to me and I'm sure he IS off contract

The only others would be Mitch Brown I'd interested in

If you brought in Nofoaluma to fullback Ken Sio is off contract

You do realise that most of the crap you are talking about comes from this and other forums. Love it how people create their own reality about possible signings and bang on for eternity about poor recruitment/retention by the club.

I will however get in early on this one… Mayer should be sacked if he doesn't sign this Valentine fella.

Yes, let's sack the CEO because he doesn't sign this bloke or that fella. Why not? There must be a dozen suitable replacements for the CEO of a football club. And then we can sack them when they don't sign every decent footballer who comes on to the market as well. Brilliant.

Valentine is a very high quality player and looks clearly a future NRL player….would love it to be here.

I have given my list on a few threads, but here goes :slight_smile:

K Moss (Panthers)
Dallin Watene Zeleniak
Gutherson (Manly)
Holmes
and my bolther Lattrel Mitchell.

all of these (excet mitchell who is a kid) would be of NRL standard if given an opportunity.

I see Mamo as a winger, I dont like Noffa or SImona at fullback.

Rowe is back up quality IMO.

I could live with Moltzen at fullback without many issues from me.....just about everyone else seems to
