Hey Guys,

Moving to London in September and wanted to watch the finals games with some fellow fans. Anyone know of any groups that get together or any pubs that people generally watch the games at?

Itching for the finals, getting my jersey sent over, Haha.

Cheers

Walkabout hotel should show the games.. There is a few around london. Its an aussie themed pub

The walkabout actually tapes them and you can request them on demand in the mornings if it's quiet. Always good excuse for a couple of 10am schooners.

Cheers guys! Yeah, I assumed it was easy to catch the games on the telly, but good to know about the Walkabout. Hopefully will find some like minded followers watching the game live there.

I think you will find there are just about as many Aussies in London as there are Poms…won't be short of a pub to watch the games, that is for sure!

The problem with the NRL is that it's only on one premium channel now in the uk, which costs about 10 quid a month on top of any of the other channels the user wants. i've never come across a pub that shows the nrl, though i do generally avoid the walkabouts. funny how the afl seems to get much more coverage, even though they actually play league in the UK!

also the whole time difference means most game are played at like 8 in the morning when no pubs are open. trying to find a stream is usually the best option. but if you do find a pub in north west london which will show the games please pass the details on to me!

Yeah same in Hong Kong - have to pay overs for Setanta who primarily show Union with League in between - god knows what's going to happen with the World Cup looming. Streaming is ok but can be frustrating to watch at times.
