Tigers Find Form

I know there were some bad defensive signs, but I honestly believe that sparring session against the Eels will prove to have played us into form.

I know they are on the bottom of the ladder, but they played with no fear, no pressure and got to a huge lead, yet we overcame that. Breaking the game into two halves the second half was excellent, even defensively. I think it was the perfect hit out for this time of the year and considering the Tigers average form and inconsistency of late, its just what the doctor ordered.

The confidence is there now for chasing down a big lead. The attack was on song and they know they still have plenty of work to do in defence, mainly just the communication and trust in the players inside and out of each of them.

The Tigers love this time of year and I'm predicting a noticeable improvement every week from here to the finals. Now is the time to start a winning streak and I think we will hit the finals in really good form.

I'm confident the defense will improve but I do wonder if Sheens may be considering the 2005 philosophy of just out scoring the opposition because the defense has been a problem all year and whilst there will be improvement I cant see us getting to the standard of Souths or Bulldogs.

To be honest I cant see us winning another game this year…unless there is a rapid improvement in defence.

We haven't defended well all year, we have proven to be cannon fodder for other top 8 teams (generally), I'm just not seeing a team that can put it together consistently and win enough games to make it.

Hope I'm wrong.

Agreed Helmesy ,we can't put an 80 minute defensive effort together

You could deal with that but in the 15-20 minutes we fall asleep opposition teams literally destroy us

Manly game
Souths game
Parra game
Bulldogs game
Parra game again
Broncos game
Roosters game
Raiders game

We need to learn from these defensive performaces not our attack

I'm done over analysing our boys, it does my head in.
There were circumstances left right and centre there last night, but we finished well….our last moments were not too bad, yes - extenuating circumstances may have helped us - but if we can get our defence in order, the attack is there....then yeh nothings out of the question in my mind.
Hurts too much thinking too hard about them....Im playin it easy now, focussing on that last patch - forgetting the crap

meh i dont mind the "you score 6 tries, we score 10" attitude atm. idc, do whatever and JUST win.

If we played Parra every week….yeh? Why not, probably have even more.

20 seconds Im never getting back.

I actually expect Marika to go past Ken Irvine next year.

Obviously he scoring is increasing at exponential rate, it took him a game and a half to score, then each try came closer and closer together.
I estimate he will score 6 tries this week and should be averaging 8 or 9 tries a game by grand final day…...
