Actually news ltd still badly need the NRL , otherwise they will lose a bucketload of customer . Most people that I know, only have it for the NRL or movies. The top rating shows on Pay are mostly NRL games,
It may turn out to be Murdoch who has shot himself in the foot.
Still I hope that somehow we can get rid of Smith and Grant and get some strong business heads, with also at least a working knowledge of the game. Stupid decisions are happening almost on a weekly basis, at the moment, and Goldberg seems to be completely out of his depth( he lost me when he said that they could not stop the wrestling)
I'd be happy to see Quayle back in charge. He's got the experience with sports administration and a long term involvement with the game.
