I don’t think our success will come from copying other clubs.

5 each Campbelltown and Leichhardt. 1 game Tamworth, one game homebush forEaster Monday. Means we can ditch the nomad label, connect with our two areas and still bring in some cash with Tamworth and Easter game.

Media love Leichhardt, huge amount of growth/potential in Campbelltown. Play to our strengths. Reserve grade need to at very minimum play half games at campbelltown, half at lidcombe. COE in concord is good but now need an academy in MacArthur.

Challenge is money. We need to cover the money we gain from deal with stadiums nsw. don’t think that’s impossible though hard to know as a fan.

LO and CSS don't have the same draw for the corporate $, though looking at the Western Stand on Friday I don't know what corporate support we are getting at Bankwest either.

Totally. Really hard to know as a fan how many corporate boxes are getting sold and for how much at each respective stadium. But still think that is just soemthing that needs to be overcome through other means rather than a reason to keep playing at Bankwest.

It is hard, LO is one of my favourite places in the world but I think it is getting close to being below the standard for a modern top level sports team.

Nah, its awesome lol. Honestly I don't really buy into the whole "facilities are too old" narrative. People rock up, have a great time, go home and are safe the whole time. As long as no one is at risk and people turn up then they're good enough surely?

They don't rock up though, we average more at the big grounds than LO can hold. The averages aren't even close.

Tha not true and not a single Sydney club averages more than 22,000 (capacity of both Leichhardt and Campbelltown). Would be good to get a proper break down of attendances...ie not just average over all but broken down to time slots and Sydney opposition vs non Sydney opposition. As has been mentioned, since 2011 stadiums nsw gets to pick which games are played and Leichhardt and Campbelltown get the rest - hence so many games va Titans at campbelltown for instance.

For starters, they do not allow 22000 at LO or CSS any longer, I don't think they go past 18000 now, though says 20000 for both online. We also average 22397 at Stadium Australia

What is the tigers future? We currently have 3 main home grounds, we cannot seem to get 10000 people to our home games. What do we do from here. We need to base ourselves out of one home ground. You look at a parramatta or Penrith who average around 20000 per home game and have the highest membership ratings in Sydney. The tigers have one of the largest parts of Sydney in the south west and yet we play 3 games a year there. Who do we stand for where are we from. The club needs a restructure from the business side of the things. We have all the tools nescerary to be a powerhouse club (except for a good footy team) and yet we hardly get any crowds, sponsorship dollars or marquee players. How do we fix this

Neither Penrith or Parra average around 20000, Penrith's membership is around the same as ours, Parra has great membership numbers. Our sponsorship and corporate support is strong and we make a profit.

There are areas that really need addressing but are more on the **football side of the business.**

So.....the only reason they exist.

West’s are not a business. You can not invest in the club to reap the rewards of these golden times of being in the black. I get we have very little to hang our hats on as a club but god it’s wearing thin hearing about the front office being great and the books being in the positive.

Let’s pretend for a sec they are a business. This business gets a guaranteed lump sum of money every year to run the business, regardless of performance. On top of that they have a base of extremely loyal customers that will hand over cash every year regardless of results. This is purely based on emotional bond the “consumer” has with the product and nothing to do with the club, office staff or even performance. The fact we celebrate not being in debt shows how high we our expectations for this club are.

Wests are a football team. Every person in that organisation should have the single focus of being a better football team. The rest is just noise losers talk about in Bali watching football teams play finals.

Not having a go at you dude, understand it’s at least something positive but ultimately it means nothing without the W.

Ummm, I was answering his question which was solely about the commercial side of the business and the faults he saw there. So I'm not saying that the football side of it isn't most important, I was saying the areas that need to be improved are in the football side.

Yes I thought that may be the case with capacity...had noticed some "sold out" games recently (past 3ish years?) were like 18/19,000. Would certainly factor in if true/permanent.

10 ANZ/Liverpool
1 Cambo
1 Leichhardt

that's it. optional trip to the bush and Magic Round home game.

As an interstate member for a decade now, i rarely get to games but when I do it is always Liechhardt or a few times Campbelltown.

That being said, with the COE complete next year, I think the next big move is we should find a home ground. With the NSW gov throwing money for stadiums, what about a Bankwest style stadium in Liverpool... good middle ground... maybe one big exhibition game at Leichhardt each season... make an event out of it. Would be a sell out...

Regardless, the future is bright.

The Club is an inner west centric operation. We have a huge stadium nearby. Why spend scare public monies on more stadiums when health, social housing and education are far more pressing concerns?

WT is the zombie team of the nrl, wandering aimlessly without a home. I’m sure if Confucius were alive today he would say “club with many home grounds, does not have one.” A development plan should have been written into the initial JV contract, and should have at least contained development of a neutral ground to call home, which would have given WT an opportunity to create its own identity , while playing 1 game a year during retro round at an old home ground. It’s never too late to start though. imo.

Health, housing and education will always be "pressing concerns" so when would any time be the right time to spend the public purse on stadiums?

And, you left out a key word in describing the WT at the moment; they are CURRENTLY an inner west centric operation. Any move to a new home base for WT at Liverpool or anywhere else will be about re-imagining and re-inventing the WT brand. It will be up to the inner- west mob to decide whether they want to be part of it or not.

Part of what? The move to develop the Parramatta Road corridor only reinforces the strategic location of Concord Oval and Wests Ashfield.

I don't live in the South West or Inner West. But the gold mine of talent in the Inner West and strategic location of our operation is a huge advantage. Imagine we leave, the Bondi mob will move straight in. Sorry but a move to the South West to me is not in WTs' interests.

Liverpool council is lobbying the government to build a new stadium there with the new airport and all…. I think the Tigers as a business needs to consider being the major tenant there.

You'd think a heavy rail link between Liverpool and Sutherland would be a much higher priority than another stadium.

The Inner West mob include the owners so ultimately it will be up to them to decide if the club moves in that direction.

There is no evidence to suggest that is even close to being true.

Thats interesting - i am the exact opposite - not living in Sydney i only get to a few games - i choose to go to the games at the stadiums with the better facilities like Bankwest and ANZ. I don't have tto go to Sydney to stand on the hill to watch a game of football. I can do that at home in the bush.

we would likely have to share with Bulldogs if a Liverpool stadium was built
if we are sharing we may aswell keep bankwest.
It would make more sense if COE at Concord to take ANZ

Love ANZ, nothing wrong with it.

It is ridiculous that an area that is second in size only to Penrith is virtually abandoned by our club

BuT tHe ArEa DoEsN’t EmBrAcE US

Maybe because we are only out there for 3 games a year. Kind of like blaming a child for not embracing a deadbeat dad who only comes to see the child 3 times a year.
