Not bad. I'm in two minds over whether to start Utai or Nofoaluma. If Nofoaluma really puts in this off-season, and performs well in the trials, I'd be inclined to give him a run over Utai I think. On form, Fulton deserves to start at 13 ahead of Anasta, but I can't see Anasta starting off the bench next year, not until we give him a few games first.

I'd say it is more likely that Fulton starts with Blair and Anasta with big Ed coming off the bench. Trial form could be a huge factor though especially for someone like Nofoaluma and Tedesco. Tedesco pretty much forced his selection with his trial form this season so the chance is there for people to step up especially with a new coach.

You are probably right but I just worry that this backrow will have no impact in attack. By this I mean Woodsy charges it up and makes 10 meters, followed by Red with 9 and then?…all three of these guys on current form are more likely to either trundle it up, take the tackle and get dominated or run across field trying to put someone in space. Net result? the good work done by the props is negated and the defending team gain the accendency which has a flow on affect for Benji and the backs.

We need a third forward who is prepared to pin the ears back and charge at the defence. I really hope Blair improves his play and takes on this role that Gareth has held for us in past seasons. If so then Fults and Anasta can run holes and help put Benji or the centers into space. Adam Blairs game in 2013 will be very important and i really hope Potter sets the fire in him that he used to possess.

I am having flash backs of me yelling at the TV watching this happen over and over again.

We have BMM who could be used more as a battering ram next year and Utai always provides valuable metres. Haven't heard much on Buchanon, hope Potter has a plan for our forward recruitment soon.

1\. Tadesco
2\. Kero
3\. Laurence
4\. Reddy
5\. Utai
6\. Benji
7\. Miller
8\. Woods
9\. Robbie
10\. Galloway
11\. Fulton
12\. Blair
13\. Anasta
14\. Pettybourne
15\. BMM
16\. Bell
17\. Moltzen.

Why doesn't anyone rate Reddy? he puts ayshford to shame, awesome under the highball and defence is pretty solid too. Even if you put ayshford in the centres i would have reddy on the wing over utai. I think moltzen on the bench is a good fit as he can cover the halves, centre and fullback.

Because as ordinary as Ayshford went last year, he still wasn't as bad as Reddy was.

I'll admit that Reddy isn't a complete scrub footy player though, the last few years he has struggled especially 2012, seems to be carrying injuries constantly. He is a handy depth player to have, just need to get his body right and let him find rhythm in NSW Cup for a while. Ayshford should definitely be ahead of him though.

IMO there will be a few twists and turns before a team is sorted…..I have most of my team selected just have some reservations on a few and this is with players here last season. There could be a few smokeys given the new coach, I suspect a few surprises is on the cards.

I reckon on this years form Utai should be close to the first bloke picked every week- he played great for us . Offered way more than anything Reddy did this year, he was woeful IMO

Tim Moltzen
Matt Utai
Chris Lawrence
Blake Ayshford
Marika Koroibete
Benji Marshall
Jacob Miller
Braith Anasta
Eddy Pettybourne
Adam Blair
Adam Woods
Robbie Farah
Keith Galloway
Bench
Liam Fulton
Bodene Thompson
Ben Murdoch-Masila
Matthew Bell

This side will succeed if no major injuries.

Trial form and reputation will have a lot to do with the early selections, eventually I would see the side looking like this:

Tedesco
Koro
Lawrence
Sirro
Nofoa
Marshall
Miller
Galloway
Farah
Woods
Pettybourne
Blair
Anasta

Bench: Moltzen, Fulton, BMM, Bell

I think Petty, Blair, Bell can help in the frontrow rotation. Fulton and Anasta to keep a fresh creative forward in the game at all times. Moltzen probably has the best utility value and can play a bit when not under pressure.

We'll have the smallest and lightest front row in the comp if Pettybourne and Blair are used there at any stage.

Yeah, adding someone like Kite or Rose in there would sure make a difference to the make up of the pack. As it stands, we are way too thin up front, unless one of the young guns can come through and adapt to first grade quickly like Woodsy did.
