With season 2010 about to kick off, a new RLW magazine landed on news stands today. Had a flick through it and picked up some news on the Tigers:

Benji has dropped his weight from 91kg to 86kg and says this is the best he has felt since 2003\. Says he's quicker, fitter and more agile;

Mark Geyer is tipping the Tigers to win the comp and Marshall to be named player of the year. Also tipping a big season from Heighington; and

Sheens is pleased to have the two pests back, Fitzy and Fulton. Says both will play important roles this year and says Fulton is bigger…

That was pretty much it.

I actually thought Benji was bigger and slower in the All Stars game - not that I paid a great deal of attention. In the last few years he seems to have started bigger then trimmed as the season progressed. It's interesting to read that won't be the case this year.

Yeah he said he has never done as much running in a pre-season as he has during this one. Says Folkes has been tough on the team but in a good way. Hopefully it shows on the field this Sunday.

Tell you what, having Geyer tip you for the premiership feels a bit like the kiss of death.

In a strange turn of events, after Willow posted that the mag was on sale, i left work to buy it, and ran into Ellis with his misses and new baby on George St.

I think it was early 2005 when Mark Geyer said that the Wests TIgers would win a comp in the next couple of years. Maybe his tipping isn't that bad after all..
