TIGERS RUN HOME

cant wait till we get more of our players back , just as we add injured players back to our top team we start winning more games and slowly climb up the ladder knock off a few gun sides on the way stop a side making the eight and just miss out our selfs , and to top it off our young guys playing like sue and noffo will just get better , gavat slays them on his return

If we looked like making a serious challenge to the 8 , this was the period I thought we might be able to get a run of good results

Suppose it is still possible if we can get the result v Penrith

As long as we can see improvement week after week ,that is the main thing , you can't expect consistancy from the young blokes at this stage Wait until they get 50-60 NRL games behind them and it will be a different matter

This is a really good point. I wonder how much injuries have really killed us.

not too much in terms of ability except Galloway and Anasta (experience/authority) but a lot in terms of game plans, and general gelling of the team. You can't compete in the NRL when 1 or 2 people head off to the doc every week cause there's no continuity not to mention the LARGE amount of inexperience present in the team. Then you add in a new coach whose impact doesn't come in game 1 (as we saw) but builds up over several games like it did up until Storm. But that's pretty much when the injuries hit us and it went to crap within a few weeks.

Now we're probably on the up i reckon, coach making a stance and a bit of cohesion/continuity.

**I always thought the run home , should start from round 1 each season.** :unamused:

really pees me off when players come out and say " our run starts now".
which has happened in previous seasons, an may happen again this year.

For and against wont be a problem if we just start winning a few and move up the ladder

I know this is probably a lunacy thought , but we are only two wins from the Top 8 still despite how bad we have been

If we can beat Penrith the confidence the young blokes will get from the win will be enormous and we do have some winnable games over the 6 weeks

Confidence can do amazing things , as we saw 8 seasons ago

people say that oh, we're 2 wins from the 8\. But even if we win the next 3 we probably won't be in the 8 cause the teams around there (6-12) will also win one or two. And that's not even taking our PD into account.

To make the 8 will require 3 or so STRONG wins (24+) and several other wins which will likely have to come from decent teams like the Dogs, Sharks, Broncos.

Souths and Roosters are pretty much untouchable for us.

No point falling into the eight if you cant string wins together…..you need four straight wins in sudden death against teams at their peak.....we need a 4 or 5 game streak soon and then need to hit top gear a few weeks out from the semis.
Cant see it.

for the run home i just want to see the roster shift because the youngsters have proven they belong.
starting with the back 3.teddy,koro and nofo.as a group i want to see the mistakes decrease and some solid defensive reads and execution.

would like to see brooks by the end of the year get a shot and have a positive impact with the team.

sue to show he is our lock for the future.
couple of our fringe props to step up to a regular in our 17 and put some pressure on buchanan heading into next season..
