Takairangi would be among the best 17 players at the club ergo I am okay with the signing. Not bouncing off the walls but I am okay with it.

I don't think we'd have paid a huge amount. The Titans probably just couldn't afford him with Hannant likely going there. He was Mr. Fix It for them and did a lot of good this year though so it's a shame for him that he wasn't rewarded for it. Hmm reminds me of someone.

He is not a fringe first grader,he is a top 17 player,and will play backrow for us,who can drop out to wing,centre or 5/8th during a game if needed.
He is a better player than Bodene,and he seems to get plenty of wraps around here.

Takairangi said that he hasn't signed a contract with us yet, but he has agreed to terms on a 3 year deal.

Nothing has changed. The same people that made all the previous recruiting decisions McDonnell and Mayer are still there so… take a wild guess.

Happy with Takairangi. I think he's underrated really. Also got enough experience to be valuable for the younger ones. Only concern for me is who the heck is doing the recruiting!! All i can say is i hope the new coach likes Takairangi's style. Has to be a concern for Brad.

Was thinking same thing. Bodene's had a good year but Takairangi is more versatile.

He's been named in a train on squad , just about every third NRL player is

Takairangi wouldn't have made the Titans top 17 when they had a fully fit squad , but like us they had many injuries

As I said in the other thread he is the poor mans version of Blake Austin and or possibly Thompson

Lets hope we aren't letting either Thompson or Austin go to have signed him

I would like to see him in the centres.. his a better option then our current centres. I hope they signed him for centre and not Mr versatile.

strange at end of article saying he has not signed contract. What's he waiting for.
