Why is some morons on here only want an independent board now that Balmain can't cough up. It's simple, I want the Magpies to have their say as long as they pay there way.

If you're going to assign board votes to contributions the NRL would have a controlling interest easily. Now how about debating the topic without the name calling? I'd say most people on this forum have just wanted a side where the common interest of the NRL team is the focus. The Wests Tigers NRL team shouldn't be controlled by Balmain or Wests - the team belongs to the fans not anachronistic bodies.

No in this instance the team belongs to the WSRLFC and the BDRLFC. The fans are just customers, and have as much ownership of WT as I do of McDonald's when I buy a Big Mac.

I was speaking figuratively rather than literally… Hence belongs to rather than owns...

The rooster fan has a point. **We have the money**. Its ridiculous to put your hand out when you got the money yourself. Even putting that aside we could get $1m from playing more games at Homebush.

The thing is Gal….to many here, the supporters, members - the board...its not ''we''....its ''they''

...they have the money....

And thats our problem

Of course he would be appalled, Roosters are rich as hell and Uncle Nick buys them out of trouble.

Where is our Uncle Harry?

Uncle Harry is a myth

Maybe you guys should take a closer look at our jumpers on Saturday

I'd like to know when he signed that deal. Guessing it wasn't when we were trying to avoid the spoon.

Using past form as a guide, I wouldn't expect Harry to stick around, only to magically pop back up when we make finals again.

Well that remains to be seen but he's hardly getting much value from his sponsorship and I don't recall him milking it that much when we were making the finals.

End of 2010…we came within a point of making the GF

Harry hopped on the bandwagon then

Where is Uncle Harry?

He alighted the bandwagon quite a few stops back

Harry was all over the papers then, harping on about how his heritage should have dictated that he become a football fanatic, and instead he chose RL.

Hasn't been heard from in a while.

Gee grow up will you? The adults are talking…

Stay out of it then. Like I said before where is Balmain going to find the money?

Question to all - off the field, who has it worst.. Wests Tigers or Cronulla Sharks?

_Posted using RoarFEED 2013_

Well as far as I know we aren't cap rotting drug pushers with no juniors or premierships, so I'd say cronulla

Exactly, we are perpetual underachievers and bridesmaids. Even when we try to be the worst club, Cronulla pops up and beats us.

As mentioned earlier, we have the money, the financial support structure put in place back in 2000 is working. It is just not working as one half of the JV expected. The precedent is the situation with St. George and Illawarra's issues. That was all resolved very amicably. Our situation can as well with a bit of common sense.

Further, this argument that "we must move away from Leagues club funding" is rubbish. Each club is different due to its own circumstances. Cronulla & Canberra have gone down the path of property, Souths, Manly and Roosters have private owners - but this is because their Leagues clubs were rubbish and not profitable.

Just like Canterbury, we have a powerful Leagues club (in fact 2!) behind us, so why not use that financial power as a foundation to the club? So what if it is related to pokies etc…...it works. Agree that we look to diversify income sources and in the end, Wests Tigers must be profitable, but Ashfield is a financial monster, why push the barrow to kill off a strength?
