Tigers Team Vs Penrith - Trial#2

What are the other options at 13?

I don’t love it either tbh
I’m honestly not entirely sure. I’d say Roberts could be our long term lock but he’s injured I think.

I’d put Sione Fainu there over Twal but I guess Fainu coming off the bench and pushing Twal into prop isn’t too bad of an idea.

Latu is ideal I think it’s his best position but he’s out too.

we are $3.30 head to head on the tab
looks a good bet for a game at LO
For a trial suprising the difference head to head
Penrith are putting out a strong team.

It's a good test, but we were caned when Savala and the first graders were on for Roosters.

Sorry, but I'm expecting the same and hoping for different.

So the 13 depth is Charlie and Mason ?

Uh oh ..
I would say the preferred option at this stage is Twal starting at 13 mainly for his bigger body and defence in the first 20mins with Latu Fainu entering the game as a much more classy attacking weapon from the 20min mark.
In a perfect world Api and Terrell May should be having a rest between the 30th and 50th minute mark, therefore with Latu at 13 we will ideally need a very solid defender at 9 while Api is off.
You would think that would be either Charlie Murray or Tristan Hope until Mason or Haywood can mature, toughen up and prove they can be reliable tackling machines for 20mins or so each game.
As for our 13 depth it’s likely Benji will want a bigger body to start each game, so if it’s not Twal it will likely be Sione Fainu, Pole or Seyfarth.
It would appear smaller forwards with a bit more attacking ability such as Murray, Mason or after round 11 Luke Jack will be considered to start on the bench and come on around the 20min mark if and when Latu or possibly Doueihi is not playing that role.

I am not I think he has a big role this year should be in the 13
There have been a long line of players in the past whose signings were considered quite astute at the time and who then went on to do absolutely nothing for us.

I hope this isn’t one of them, but I’m cautiously optimistic at best.

We are due and I am not talking about fire and brimstone just a guy who does his job good and we don't go backwards when he is on the field

I would like him to start and when he comes off Twal goes on for the rest of the game

Or he could be the guy who gives Terrell a rest

But he has over 100 NRL games and last year when Twal and Terrell come off the forwards go backwards just need that experience guy who's can lead from actions

And in the last 30 minutes of the game I think Twal Terrell have to be on the field to lead and would like Pole on as well with his foot work is hard to stop at the line

If the top 20 players stay fit we will find out if Benj can coach or not and I think he can

We have strike power all over the park this year it's down to coaching and keeping players on the field
