Bird should go ok on an edge, although we need his ability to play as 1st receiver at 13 also.
We lack tackle busting and unpredictability.
If anything Mason at fullback will help with that and possibly Bird on an edge also.
It’s a big ask to beat a desperate Manly team at Brookvale, but our line up looks like it potentially has more points in them than last weeks team line up, so if Benji releases the shackles and lets Tallyn rip, we could score 4 or 5 tries and it will just be a matter of whether or not we can reduce our own errors and defend reasonably well.

Bird to spend some time mid-late game at 13 if Sukkar has a stint at 2nd row?

This news of him being out for 4-6 weeks is devastating to our hopes of delivering a strong finish to this season.

Oh god not Mason at fullback. It's a disaster waiting to happen, he's terrible under the high ball. Any time they are within our half they will put a bomb up right in the middle of the field, and you'll see one or two of Hopoate, Turbo or Garrick jump all over him. Also his defensive organisational skills are lacking.

Very happy to see Latu named at 7. He will be the face of the club if he stays fit.

Yes. Their lineup is poor. Starting Matt Lodge and Travis Waddell. We at least match up evenly and are due for a night where things go right for us. Our forwards rip in like last week and we do them.

I wouldn’t say poor, out of form, yes. They still have two Trbojevics and DCE. Apart from a couple of games, DCE has been ordinary all season. What are the odds of him and Turbo putting on a masterclass for the Manly faithful at Brookie 😩
