WHY DO ALL OUR CURRENT PLAYING ROSTER WANT TO PLAY UNDER SHEENS…..

....

Because they know they can play like absolute crap and have no fear of consequence

Remember the year sheens threatened everyone with a 'massive clean out'?

Who did we clean out? Harrison who went on to become on of the worlds second rowers, hodgson who won the man of steel the following year and teo who was 18th man for qld last year.

T'eo was not moved on by Sheens - he was wanted at the club but reneged on a handshake agreement to stay after the Broncos contacted him!!

Teo went for $10k a season more then we offered him, however he came back to us and we wouldn't match it.

Yeah I do, but you obviously dont as it was 2009 when Halatau, Collis, Morris, Payne, Hanbury and Danny Galea all left, McDonnell also left during the season, not the 2008 season that you are quoting when Harrison, Hodgson and Teo left the club….

Gallant, Hanbury, Collis, Halatau, Payne, Triamachi Galea O'Hara Flannagan Morris and Fitzy off the top of my head where cleaned out in the past 2/3 years….

Harrison wanted out and needed out.........and T'eo is a money grubbing peaheart cancer....

Who should he clean out this year......Fulton cause of a miss tackle, Farah cause he played like a busted..and Benji well cant get rid of him now can we...oh that's right he picked Utai

SACK SHEENS NOW... :unamused:

Crikey another Sheen bashathon 1 game sine he took us 1 game away from a grand final.

Also, re B Harrison I was about the only person on this forum who said he should have been retained. You all wanted hin gone and now criticise Sheens for letting him go. Worlds best backrower? What have you been smoking. He still cant make a one on one tackle.

Sheens probably deserves to be criticised for how he has played backrowers like Harrison and i fear he is doing the same thing to Dwyer but thats another issue.

The intellectual dishonesty of some people amazes me.

Sheens cleans players out. He just does it slowly.

The only real poor decision was Bronson Harrison but his defence was at times terrible.

i vote balmain bug for coach.

Thank you jezz.

The first thing I would do in my inaugural term is instill some bloody Mongrel and killer instinct into the forward pack. Why does Gareth Ellis have it for EVERY game and the other forwards don't????

Killer instinct, passion, pride, win at all costs, hatred for the opposition, passion for your club and for your supporters. I would not alienate supporters like Fonz does with stupid policies or with stupid comments.

I would unite and fight as one.

Gotta crawl before you walk mate. How about you start with a full season of U/9s and then we'll assess your credentials as a first grade coach. :supporter:

I train Under 6s - Does that mean I may have a chance????

Tim's cousin / Bro in Law made the call for sure to get a bit more money…

Lawrence to the Dogs
Farah to the Titans
Fafita to the Dogs

Finally he has his own team and a few years to have a decent crack at another Title perhaps 2.

If the Money is close to being in the same ball park, Coach Sheens wont go.

If he goes I really don't see it as a big issue however I also don't see why there is the amount of negativity around him.

I hope Sheens stays, i have loved the Sheens years.

If money talks and he goes to Souths.

My personal choices would be Nath Brown, I know he didn't get Saints over the line, but I think his time in England and coaching players he did not play with him will improve him, I also like his style

The other 2 i suggested on another thread is Matt Cameron and Mick Potter, I also like the idea of MgGuire as well.

I've heard people say Phl Gould, the game has moved so far away from Phil Gould it is not funny, he is not the option

Goose, you're starting to live up to your name! If Nathan Brown became our coach we are gooooone!

People must remember - when Sheens took over we had no money as money was wasted on has been footballers - the club was floundering after Lamb - he setup Concord as a central training area to get uniformity. Had to bring juniors through as money was lean and with those juniors he won a comp.

I don't disagree that some of his interchange rules are a bit odd, but you have to look at the big picture. He is still innovative with his plays - particulary scrums and usage of the side line. I don't think Lote would have signed if Sheens was not at the club.

I hope he hangs around, but if he leaves, I am happy that he was with our club and made it more professional after his tenure.

100% Agree

I am thankful to Coach Sheens for making us credible at the very least (2005 is a Bonus)

2 more years I'm hoping though.

The club is bigger than any player or coach.

If Sheens goes, good luck to him, but the way some people are carrying on its as if there is no other coach good enough for us. What rubbish.

Who wouldn't want to coach us: we have one of the best rosters in the NRL, and most of them are locked up on long term contracts.

2 semi final appearances in the last 15 years mate.

First of all Tim started coaching the Cowboys in 1997 which is 14 years ago and he didnt coach in 2002 so he's only coached for 13 years since leaving Canberra.

1997- 2001 - Took over the worst team in the league, was forced to coach with players he didnt want and was dictated to by the board. Wasn't allowed to implement his style and was restricted by the board as to what he could do. Eventually forced to resign and was followed by CEO Rabieh Krayem who resigned in protest against the board. How can someone perform their duties successfully when you're not able to do what you know is best because someone else wants you to do things their way. Any normal unbiased person would agree that the Cowboys poor results in those years were not Tim's fault.

2002 - Did not coach

2003 - Took over a team no-one wanted. In 2 years he built a team good enough to win the premiership.

To be fair to Tim, if we wipe off the years that Tim had to coach against all adversity and start looking at his record from 2005 till now you're suddenly looking 2 finals appearances in 6 years not 15!

Tell me I'm wrong Bug?

Goose not sure about Brown as coach Maybe as he has no connections with players from this era or club he might be better With the Gould issue he still analysizes the game and he still understands the game Despite his demeanour at times he still has a good football brain i would not write him off as a coach (again still don't know if i would want him at Tigers)

Some players just dont respond to certain coaching styles & if the coach is staying its better for everyone that they move on.
We cld all see the talent they had,but fact is Harrison,Teo,O'Donnell & others were very ordinary under Sheens & blossomed elsewhere.Good coaches like Bellamy /Bennett do the opposite & consistently make good players out of modest talent.
Optimal replacement for Sheens is McGuire or Daniel Anderson, with Folkes a fallback as not quite sure his style is optimal for Tigers playing roster
Gould wont get out of the comfy confines of the commentary box where he's never wrong,Brown & Potter havent done enough,& the others arent winners

What about Royce Simmons with Folkes as an assistant ??

I have never forgiven Sheens for letting Teo go. Seriously :unamused: Talk about clutching at straws.

I wouldn't say Sheens has been perfect, but in my opinon he has done far more good than bad.

He'd be silly to go to Souths, what a terrible club.
Entertaining to watch but the results aren't there.
Any one who coaches them must not have an interest in living (Heart attack)
