Tim Grant?

Bloody oath we should go after him. Hell, the way our forwards defended vs the Dragons last week I would be happy to even sign up the other Grant….......Hugh.

We don't have the money for high-ish profile props so we will have to do a Storm and sign blokes on bargain basement contracts who will do anything for an opportunity in the NRL. We need to abandon our fat-cat forwards who are living large with their snout in the trough taking it easy and get some blokes on board that are willing to show some fight and desperation, it is the only way we are going to fight our way out of the current mess we are in.

Earlier today I said I wanted both of these guys but tbh I think I was jumping the gun. I don't think this forward pack we have right now is bad at all tbh. It's decision making and leaving some weak defenders (not forwards) isolated too often. I wouldn't pin the blame of that on the forwards.

I think no matter who we get…As soon as they set foot in Concord their footy ability drops
We are career killers

No one player is going to make much difference. ..we need recruiters who can identify top level defensive players and base our game around them. ..A good base of defensive players is where I think we need to start...A minority of weak defenders can then be supported in this regard...at the moment it's the other way around. ..mostly weak defense with a few capable

Dunno if grant fits this bill

Haha, had a good chuckle ink. We are career killers or starters and we let the starters go! Seems the consensus is a yes on grant, but maybe too expensive.

No no no, I want to see Nathan Brown and Masila given a go this year, I think these two will tear it up and rip into other teams, our forwards are good as it is and we have plenty coming through, we are good in every position at the moment, we dont need any players from outside of the club. Our main priority should be keeping Teddy, Nofo, Sironen, Gavet, Sue and Simona who comes off contract next year. No signings from other clubs are needed!

Yeah that's a good perspective. I wonder how long we have to see bmm and brown play this year before grant and mckendry are gone. And is the Melbourne model the way of the future? Get hungry, cheap forwards and spend big dollars on the spine.

Brown cant even get a start in third grade… He seems a few rounds away on that note.

BMM by all reports was one of our best last week... I'm hoping he is on the plane to the Goldie this weekend!

Let's get a six thanks

No use having heaps of go forward and no one who can finish it off

Ask the Bulldogs , that will be their next issue

Forward pack of the gods , backs that will fumble and bumble their way through a season

perfect assessment of their efforts last week!

Unfortunately with Fifita getting a reported $850k from the Dogs and Tamou and Scott just Re-signing with the Cowboys on massive coin it has inflated the Prop market. If Fifita got $850 you'd think Grant would command 600-650\. We wouldn't have that much room.

Not a fan of Grant to be honest…

He's not terrible, but just an average run of the mill first grader.

I'm sick of signing average run of the mill players.

Sure we are. That is why we will be in a fight to the death for the wooden spoon this season and were dead lucky not to get it last season also. We need to constantly look outside the club to improve our roster, the current blokes (especially from last season) just aren't getting the job done.

😱pen_mouth: we could sign Grant or Mckendry in lou of Anasta leaving at end of year. Or someone with strong leadership qualities. But who

Same boat. Despite origin appearances, he must not be that prized if the penny panthers are willing to let him go..

Heard of Jennings or Luke Lewis? The Panthers' problems with over-priced players is well documented.

That said, we'd only want him at a good price. Unlikely to happen in the current prop market.

I think Tim is a very good player, and off the field would show alot of our guys the extras that make a difference, he is an outstanding trainer and the ultimate professional.

He is on a mint at the moment (prob too much) if we have to pay that sort of cash it is not worth it.

I reckon we have the makings of a good side already with us….but Timmy would be a good addition
