Tim moltzen- put your body on the line or else!!!

Other than kick returns he's doing well this year.
Taken some pretty impressive high balls.
I doubt he is the worst fullback in the comp. he's probably on par with Boyd at club level and better than Whare/Naiqama, Beale, Locke. More useful than Hayne/Barba who are below expectations this year (Barba is still "recovering" from whatever his problem is/was).
Haven't seen much of Norman/Zillman yet.

Last back in the team who should be under pressure on form this year. Yes Tedesco might be making him play better but that's win win for us.

Big game for Tim Moltzen. A career defining game!

If he doesn't perform and return the ball like all fullbacks do as well catch bombs, then I think he needs to be dropped…
Mate time to put your body on the line!

Moltzen has been good this year. TIGER says some really stupid stuff regarding Benji but I think he is spot on with Moltzen. Moltzen's kick returns though are poor - it isn't a huge issue but it is an issue.

The thing is Tedesco in my opinion is a better fullback and a better long term option. Moltzen could go to the centres or the halves or he might have to go elsewhere but I think since Tedesco is the better fullback he should be playing there.

with benji injured, im hoping to see him at 5/8… without a doubt, his best position on the field (other than utility).

a lot of people undermine his kicking game... i've seen him kick a few times and he has found grass on each time tbh. his front line defense is pretty good as well, and if he takes the initiative, he can field a lot of short kicks as well.

I think we should be looking at the regular standard tackles which Tedesco missed against Manly and Melbourne which led to a total of 4 to 5 tries which WEsts Tigers could have well done without. Tedesco hae to improve his wing defence.

I don't think we'll see much different today from Timmy. He's largely the same player of 2 years ago, just a little more consistent in the better things he's done.

As long as he fields the ball and returns it safely that's fine by me. You can't expect a fullback to get you on the front foot every time he returns the ball, not every player is slater or inglis. Safety first

Should be able to expect it occasionally though. I will give it to him he is defensively sound, but he is virtually useless in any attacking sense. He has scored a try and made one or 2 breaks, he is capable, he needs to inject himself into the game more. It did seem like he was trying to inject himself more last week, but if players arent used to looking for him as an option because he generally isnt sniffing around more, then he cannot expect to be utilised on his random showings.

Played well today. Would move him to 5/8 or even centre though, Tedesco and Lawrence can't be on the edge together. It just isn't working.

Bring him into the halves - started doing the long pass to the winger thing again today which screamed of the Moltzen of last year, although he looked good when he came up and played in the line. If Anasta is out put him in the halves with Sironen.

Got to give him props for his game today… unfortunately he swaps out for Tedesco the last 10-15 mins and we get a glimpse of what a real fullback could do for us.

It's very unfortunate for Moltzen - I wanted him gone like everyone else last season, but you have to give credit to where its due, he has been solid so far this season and in some games very good.

Still, Tedesco is just a complete fullback and is our future there, so he must either be moved or dropped.

Can't see Potter bringing back Miller or promoting Brooks at this stage for Anasta if he is out, so it will be good to move Moltzen to halfback to allow for Tedesco to play at the back.

35th min.
5m from dragons line, anasta goes short side looking for runners.
Moltzen standing there like a shop front dummy watching

56th min.
Timid 'tackles' frizzell but hops off him immediately before hes even on the ground, leaving someone else to try and finish it off allowing a super quick play the ball….cooper score next play

Quick play the balls are a no no when defending

I've always felt its a bit difficult for fullbacks in that position, because they really cant afford to be at marker.

He got back to the tryline but was useless anyway…cooper strolled past.

Slow it down first, then rush back...stupid allowing a quick ptb
