Tim Moltzen signs with the Dragons

The only thing to come out of all these departures is that I now know Humphrey's is a hopeless liar."Moltzen's staying", yeh sure !

Totally agree nothing but BS, he would have known Moltz was on the brink of signing and WT were doing jack all to persuade him to stay, so it was a blatant lie. Good on you Tim M if you don't like working somewhere you move on, simple really.

Beau and Heighno next.

The latest in a seemingly endless line of player offloads for next season. Hope we sign someone soon or we may not have a team to field next year. Wonder if five players can play seventeen positions…

Yeah that's right, the people running the club are so incompetent they haven't realised we're only going to have 8 players next season. We're going to be $2m under the salary cap, which is good news, but this will be our team:

1) Whichever is the fastest kid in the half-time sprint
2) Tuqiri
3) Ayshford
4) Lawrence
5) The mascot
6) Marshall
7) Miller
8) Galloway
9) Farah
10) The nice lady at the club who sorted out my membership package when it was late.
11) Blair
12) Sheens
13) No-one

14) The biker dude who does the scoreboard at Leichhardt
15) Me
16) The bloke who does the meat raffle at the Red Lion
17) Skandalis

Beau will be with his Channel 9 mate Gus next year.

Hate to say I told you so but I did!!!

Someone bookmark my comment for next year…...

Letting Moltzen go will be a huge, huge , mistake........

Funny how the reigning premiers (and favourites for this year) think Moltzen is a good buy but Sheens can't decide where he should play?
Instead we've been served by the WORST half in the comp (including Orford) all year.
You can guarantee Moltzen will go on to bigger things - and most likely Fifita as well.
Sheens is an A grade clown. :rant

As far as I am concerned Humphries is the best Chief Executive in the NRL!!!!!!
The cleanout finally has happened after us "TRUE TIGERS SUPPORTERS" having to suffer mediocre or just not good enough results since 2005!!!! :brick: :deadhorse:
The players that are leaving will finally free us of most or hopefully all of these underperforming pussies as well as others due to their age !
I find it unbelievable :crazy that there are some supporters on here that are "outraged & worried :blah :rant
at the list of player's leaving ??? :bash . You guys have to try to understand the way "successful business principles work!!!!! :bulb: 😱pen_mouth: :astonished: :roll
As an "extremely wealthy & successful businessman" I am well qualified to assess Tigers Management performance of their players since 2005 & now finally they are listening to my suggestions for future success which will certainly come from 2012 or here's hoping even this year!!!!! :righton:
In sport as in business an organisation has to have "THE BEST"talent & TEAM PLAYERS not "Yes People", underperforming best mates & personal favorites & a good balance of "young & older" to achieve the "BEST RESULTS"!!!!!
I am extremely happy with Moltzen's leaving & if LUI & Beau knows goes it will be even better for me!!!!
Go you Tigers!!!!! :sign:

Clearly the Tigers have absolutely no control over their club. No direction, no winning mentality and are doomed for further failure.

Their best players want out of the club.

Moltzen was their best up and coming player last season, and has barely played in 2011.

It's true this club really is a sinking ship.

I've been to 5 Tigers games this year, such a disgrace.

They are a blight on the NRL.

I'm having mixed emotions about this..I don't want him to leave because as he showed in 2009 he's got potential to be the best..but at the same time for all 15 games played this season he hasn't even been decent in form and I can't bear to watch him play..that said though I still wish he would have stayed..wheres the loyalty gone?

You are an idiot!!!

Moltzen has played in every game. Granted you would not have known he was there, he was so ineffective.Wise up.

you are a trator moltzen, you probably will be on the bench for st george every week just like peni tagive because either chase or kyle stanley will take your spot. Very smart going to st george.

I can't wait till next year when all u people bagging tigers for letting these players go u will be eating ur words when next year we will be a force to be reckoned with the club wouldn't let these players go and not sign anyone just be patient

I am happy for Tim

After his injury. Timmy lost his mojo - badly. A change of envoronment might be just the right he needs.

I gotta say though that if he was getting the reported 300K, i am not too sorry to see him go. I think there is better value elsewhere.

All the best Tim

This is when players come and go, you cant do it in the off season.

As a few others have said I think this is best for both parties, I have stated before I dont think Tim is a natural fullback and feared playing him there next year wouldn't have worked.

I think he is a utility and reckon thats what the Dragons will do with him long term.

Obviously there is something big cooking behind the scenes at the WT's, have a little faith guys I reckon some good news is coming.

Dont forget less than four short months ago the official club direction re: recruitment & retention was:
''A conscious decision was made not to buy any marque players this year, instead focussing on reinforcing the stability within the playing roster''

I guess most of the Tiger's fans are disappointed with our position on the table. However, the loss of Tuqiri, Lawrence, Payten, McKinnon, Tuaki, Akeripa, Daniela, Utai, Fulton and Dwyer to injury could be a part of the reason for the loss of many games.

Regarding your contention that "Moltzen was their best up and coming player last season", I was surprised, so I checked the stats. Moltzen only played the first two games of the season, before he was ruled out for the season due to injury. It would be hard to rate him as "their best up and coming player last season" on just two games.

Further to "and has barely played in 2011", I checked the stats and they show he played 15 games this year.
Four on the interchange bench for an average of 30 minutes per game.
Three as half-back.
Four as full-back.
Four in the centre.
He played the full game in each of these 11 appearances.

Don't know what to think of this, but I question the timing of it all and why this is suddenly all happening now? There was NO sign of anything like this happening at the beginning of the year, no talk of it, nothing, yet now, after a string of injuries that would make any other team struggle, suddenly they think it's a good idea to cause more disruption?

Honestly, it appears someone has hit the panic button and is making some fairly rash decisions.
