I just bumped into Tim at the local cafe, I dont know him and have never met him, but he is a really nice outgoing guy, very nice to the people there and seemed like a great bloke.
I already thought he got a poor deal on this forum and seeing he seemed such top bloke, highlighted to me more so, how hard we are on a number our players especially Tim.

To be fair I don't think anyone on here bags him as a bloke. The criticism is of his football ( which I don't necessarily agree with) which, on a forum, is what it's about. Constructive or otherwise.

I'm sure the majority of nrl players are nice blokes. The few I have met were

Im sure hes a nice bloke, and not a bad player too….but some elements of his game (which to be fair he seems to be working on getting it out of his game) and the way he handled the off season dragons rubbish leave a lot of people with not fond feelings toward him

A lot of blokes on here have bagged him as a bloke, either directly or indirectly.

Calling him a cat, heartless etc…
Then his relationship to Benji, people have stuck the boot in there in a number of ways, hand bag, boyfriend implications it is the only reason he has a contract.

People have also got stuck into about being petulant and a brat, the word spoilt was used at one stage.

All that stuff is not about his footy.

I have always rated him as a footballer, by no means perfect, but I rate him, I quite like him, now Im glad he seems to be a decent bloke.

I reckon people forget that players and coaches are people as well, and I acknowledge that their role opens them to criticism, but I think many go massively over the top, and Moltz and Blair cop a heap more than most and often unfairly.

This thread was a point of interest, he seemed like a really good bloke, and hope people think of that when they call him a cat.

100% true statement - everytime i've seen him interact off the field, lovely bloke, but on the field, the scowls and sprays at teammates, and hesitation don't go un-noticed - although he's looked a stack better in recent games - Maybe the "shoulder injury" we all thought was a gee up wasn't such a gee up… Look at Lawrences form - has a similar pattern...

Speaking of nice guys - The Paea boys - Mickey, Lopini, and Lalea -

Three of the scariest/most intimidating looking islanders you will ever see - Particularly when together.

Three of the nicest guys you will ever meet! Humble, god fearing, respectful young lads.

I did a bit of coaching of Lalea earlier this year, preparing his rugby before he heads to Japan.

He is a brillant young man, very, very friendly and ultra professional and so eager to learn, he won me over in seconds.

Back to TIm, I reckon it was more of him settling back into fullback after training all summer at halfback, after about 4 games there he has been very strong.
It was the same last year, once they settled with him at fullback, after about 4 games there he played super was very strong for the last 10 or 11 games.

Good post.

I don't get the hate against Moltzen. He has had some poor moments at fullback but at the same time he has looked real good at other times.

I don't get how you can judge him as a person period.

I stand corrected then goose. I like him as a footballer too. Like you said he's not perfect and he gets singled out probably unfairly along with a few others.

I've no doubt some players from other teams that I dont like through what I've seen when they are playing are probably legend blokes
