Tim moltzen

He doesnt deserve all these threads, how he got picked for Country amazes me.
No it doesnt, the Godfather has tentacles everywhere

Your 2nd sentence is a classic case of checking your written word before posting!!!

"it doesn't"…. what???????

I think Ink is saying the only reason Moltz got picked is cause of Sheens,,,

Like it's somehow a bad thing…

''It amazes me.''
_On reflection….._"No, it doesnt....."
Sorry red

Geo....you are OK with charity selections?
Thought you'd be more at ease with him EARNING his place.
While we dont see what goes on behind the scenes, maybe his training attitude
has gone some way towards his selection...though last I heard it was almost
entirely fooy on field ability.
Cushy rides for some though are part & parcel of the game. have been for years.

Maybe brown put centipedes in Motlzen's bed.

Can't think of any other reason he would choose, No I will not pass the ball to you with the line (for all intents and purposes ) open.

SideNote: I really want brown to keep his spot once Tuqiri is back.

role back to the week before, moltzen scored two tries doing the exact same move. Dummies, then strolls over himself.

This week though, fergusson didn't take the dummy, and to his credit still found a way to get a ball away after being swamped by a much bigger player.

Just an observation.

No I don't care…... for years Ive seen blokes selected from other teams because of who they know....for once I'm greatful if in fact Sheens is responsible cause it means one of our players get the chance to be part of a representative team and gain valuable experience that comes with it...and maybe come back a better player...

I like Moltzen but I just think he is naturally a 5/8\. He is a good runner and a little flashy in ball touching positions. He probably isnt a natural half as he isnt much of an organiser (even though he can play it for us cause we have a decent 9 and 6). He isnt a 1 or a 3 , and for us his best position is 14 but we need to use him right. Bringing him on with 15 to go at fullback is pointless. We should bring him on after 30 and let him get around the ruck and get into dummy half a bit.

I see your point, but wouldnt that be double standards?

Moltzen would look good in a red and green jumper.

Souths might also look at Miller who is a half back. I wonder how long we have signed him for.

Maybe Daniela could sign with Cronulla who are desperate for backs. Good player but will not start ahead of Lawrence and Ayshford.

When Lote comes back I hope Brown is pick on the bench ahead of Moltzen.

I especially agree with your sidenote Sataris re Brown and partially agree with the sentiments re Moltzen. This thread on Moltzen though is getting to be a bit like the Fitzhenry knocking, and it won't get us anywhere. His selection in the rep side though will only make him a better player, and give him lots of confidence, which I think is what he's a bit short on ATM. But I do like Brown, and I too hope he stays somewhere in the team when Lote returns

Many of you seem to forget that Benji was awful after his 33rd shoulder reconstruction. He took up to 2 seasons before he was playing the consistent football we have seen the past 3 years. You won't see the best of Moltzen till later this season or even next year.

Letting Moltzen go would be crazy. The guy is a utility who can play halfback, a priceless commodity. He has the potential to be as good as or better than Gidley. If Lui was to walk out and we had to go to market, what are the halfback options? Let's look at the most recent transactions…...Canberra with Orford and Parramatta with Sandow. Awesome....

still amazed at the treatment Moltzen cops…...

Who do you think should be fullback Goose Moltzen or MacKinnon, 80% of the arguments against Moltzen that I have read are against him at Fullback nothing else . He I think is coming to accept that when we are full strength he will be a very useful utility . Whats wrong with saying that ??? Same way i think Fifita will be most use off the bench its nothing personal against him or Moltzen . Its what best suits the team and teams ability to win the premiership . I would rather be a bench player for the premiers than be a starter for 14th best side in the comp

i ve got no dramas with blokes saying he should be on the bench, fair enough call.

I refer you to comments from Magpie col, tommytiger, insaniak and Sataris…...pretty harsh stuff.

To answer why he didn't pass to brown on the try, there was a heavy drift on, ferguson looked like he was drfiting past, but corrected beautifully to make the tackle, in hindsight moltzen definately should have passed the ball, he didnt we scored anyway, and blokes are giving it to him on 3 threads.

I wouldn't consider my comments harsh

I'm merely observing that he should have passed.

It's not really related to Moltzen either, it seems to me (and i have nothing to back this up) but Brown doesn't really seem to be in the team, he's on the field and wearing the same colours but he doesn't seem "in" and that worries me slightly.

In any case, Tim has plenty of chances to prove himself
