He will be here next season and Steve Folkes started today as head conditioner.

1..... Four champions in a football team will win you a premiership......
2..... favours Melbourne or Brisbane
3..... Had we been healthy we would have given it a shake.... :unamused:
4..... He's focussing on the loss of the wingers.... :laughing:
5..... We need to go from a flamboyant side to a grinding side.....we need all our stars fit and on the field....
6..... Finished strongly something to build on for next year....
7..... Experience in key positions...... we are building...We are not a Rorters and can go out buy 6 or 7 players....we have to build from within.....We can only do things within our means......Strong 20's side with a load of potential....Praised Ellis and added he is a special player who we had to go outside the NRL to get....Now everyone is saying we should recruit an Englishman....eg Burgess...but according to Tim it's not that simple....Ellis is a rare talent with an enourmous workrate....

Haven't got the size to grind?? Tandy, Lima, Cashmere ALL wanted to stay!! Lima and Cashmere had even requested on a FEW occassions to come home AFTER they had left!!
And why players such as Stolk, Davidson had never been given a crack or fast-tracked whilst he had the chance is beyond me!! :brick:

keeps whinging that we lost 2 wingers. but hell lawerence could basically hand feed any winger tries.
parramatta game is probably only excuse because lost two wingers in one game is a bit hard.
titans game missing a prop and two wingers, but a week to prepare, this by no means is huge injury concers.. probably average for most teams to be missing a front rower quite a few games a year.
team selection is what let us down sheensy.

I must admit I reckon Sheensie made a blooper moving Moltz as well,but you cant blame him for the mid season where it was last man standing for positions,and we lost plenty by 6 or less.

Just another example of LACK OF FORESIGHT. Sheens should've bled some younger blokes earlier in the season knowing full well injuries were going to hit at some stage during the season. It's not like WT haven't already had 3 seasons of the identical situations.
That is WHY this is seemingly like groundhog day.
Sheens had his chance to blood young blokes at the start of the year when WT were at full strength. A balance of a 99% full strength squad and throwing in perhaps one or two rookies to get them set for later in the year for when the injury toll arrives. Knowing which games to do this in and which oppositions you can do this nurturing against, whilst STILL being able to come away with a victory is the KEY!!
But alas, Sheens left it too late once again and painted himself into a corner and was forced to make ludicrous selections, weaking one position to strengthen another all when it was TOO LATE. This ALSO put his team under the pump when it wasn't necessary.
As i stated earlier in the year, WT were never in the hunt for making the playoffs( the F/A is ALWAYS the clear indicator), unless Sheens changes his frame of mind and does something along these lines next season will see the same results.
I just watched this season unravel and all the hard work put in by the players go to waste once again due to stubbornness.
The way i see it is, if Sheens does not stop saying things like "it's all well and good in HINDSIGHT", and begins to use his ability of FORESIGHT, then regardless of how many gun players he has on the field, they will not achieve their target to make the finals again.
Feel free to gimme a call Sheensy. Anytime after 10am on weekdays. :wink:
