Tim Sheens

Definitely deserves a lot of credit. Im a vocal critic but will always give credit where credit is due. Kudos to him and all the coaching staff, well done.

There isn't another coach I would rather be sitting on our bench during finals time, either.

You won't hear it from Bug.

For some reason when we win, it's down to the players, but when we lose, it's down to the coach.

Semis 2 years in a row. And people constantly saying Tm's hopeless, should be sacked, blah, blah, blah. I'm very happy that Tim is our coach and am confident that with his guidance, the boys will go one game, and one win, further than last year.

Was anyone else confused by the 'Bring McKinnon on and re-shuffle virtually the entire forward pack and our right edge' tactic? I'm not a critic of Sheens, but that definitely had me scratching my head, especially considering how the Sharks were gaining most of their yards.

Ah Vanilla! These are the mysterious ways of our illustrious coach that will often cause fans to have such polarized opinions of him, but even a critic, such as myself, has to admit he has done an excellent job these past 2 years. Long may he reign!

Yep, well done Sheensy, Ive had doubts about you many times in the past, namely 07 and 09, but to turn things around like we have after a very rocky mid season is a great coaching performance.

Maybe, rather than just agree or disagree with Sheen's approach, there maybe something that changed after the 2008 season, which improved the team's performance?

Bug if you don't think Tim's the man, then who from the available list of coaches would u rather have instead?

All in all I think he is a great coach who has done remarkably well with the tigers. From recruitment, to junior development, to retaining our great players, to making us a team that can compete with anyone over the past 4 to 5 years. Only other coaches to do better is Bellamy, Hasler and Bennett IMO!!

He has to be in the top 5, so u can't be too critical of him.

I think you have to look at Sheensy building a successful business too. I think him building an exciting attacking structure and picking real characters, like Tui, Lote, Benji, Beau and nice guys has massively turned this club around Post-hoppa.

We are now the 3rd most valuable league brand out there. That's without being in the Semis consistently. He even won a premiership while not having the full cap at his disposal!

I take my hat off. His brilliant junior focused strategy and his ability to coach in a flamboyant style has made this club a powerhouse. He will go down as one of our best signings ever.

Totally agree Hammertime. Out of interest what are the 3 best brands out their? Would like to know.

three finals campaigns in nine seasons certainly beats zero campaigns out of eleven, which is where Balmain fans were sitting before he came.
