Tim Sheens

I think the fact that Marshalls cork was still bleeding on game day was the main reason he did not play. He could have done further damage to it if he played and it was the right move to rest him.

Sheens has always stated the the Club commitments come first

Well if it was that bad then fair enough…..must of had some very good rehab then since he played 5 days later in a test match....perhaps who ever worked on him should have a look at Galloway....

Once the bleeding stops in a cork it is easier and quicker to rehab.

I just wish KG was never sent back out onto the paddock that day at the SCG. It was courageous that he wanted to get back out there but someone should have said no

Yep Amen to that….the way Galloway battled on one leg last year it was no wonder he wanted back on.....

Cooler heads should have prevailed...the doc was there though...

What do people reckon of these NRL experienced coaches?
- Michael Hagan
- John Lang
- Stuart Raper
- Graham Murray
- Steve Folkes (how long is his contract with the WIndies?)
- Chris Anderson
- Ian Millward (we chased him when we chased Sheens and has been assistant at NQLD)

.

Hagan….Crap
Lang...too long out of the game
Raper...please
Murray...has said not interested in coaching anymore....
Folkes....Hmmm.....something doesn't feel right
Anderson......No....he lost it a while ago
Millward.....Nup...

Sheens replacement......Bennett whatever it takes....

If it takes a rookie to fill in before Wayne comes then....Bellemy's assistant not Kearney the other guy...name escapes me...last year I would have said Flanagan but he and Ricky got the Sharks going like busted's

hagan is a good coach, geez some people on here are idiots.

out of the ones listed id go with
Murray
hagan
folkes.

But if we were looking to the future a coach like, stephan kearney, paul green or ian millward would be acceptable, i mean they dont have alot to live up to, just dont get the spoon and dont make the finals and you will keep your job

Mate this is a FORUM. We are allowed to disagree with you. As for Hagan, what exactly has he done to be called a good coach? Newcastle brought in Smith to clear out the deadwood and improve their culture. This would be the same deadwood and culture that Hagan created.

Talk about sacking Sheens is ridiculous, even more so when the replacement one half of our board wanted to bring in was John Dorahy, someone who is completely and utterly unproven as a coach.

What we need to get rid of is the medical team. The physio, the trainers and the doctor are a joke. Galloway gets injured and he'll be out for 4-6 weeks. 10 weeks later and still no sign of him.

I don't know why I bother with this club - our coach is a joke, our halves are a joke, our recruitment guys a joke, our forwards are a joke. Now our medical team is a joke.

Oh well it could be worse. I could be following Soufs, Rooters, Boncos, Dragqueens, Cowbies, Sterm, Bullfrogs, Sharkies, Eagles, Panthers, Slimeys, Titins, Raiders, Awkland or the Nighties.

Well in both Sunday papers Sheens has been mentioned. One indicating (Tele) that he will be reviewed at year end, the other paper saying he has been mentioned as possible coaching candidates at other clubs.

Maybe where there is smoke there maybe a samll fire ?

My head spins when thinking about our coach. Ive believed that the results Sheens' has got have not been good enough and he should go. Two things that he's been terrible at is getting the team to defend well and team selections. Well, this year the teams defence has improved remarkably and now he's been forced to select a more appropriate team through injury and the shift of Marshall, and the combination of the two has us looking good. So now the question has to be asked, has the penny FINALLY dropped with the bloke? And does he now deserve to fulfill his contract?

With the like of Morris, Halatau and Collis moving on, he'll be FORCED to select more appropriate players next year too, so maybe, just maybe, we'll click.

I still believe he gets it wrong with some selections. We all know Heighno will walk straight back into the backrow, even though its been proven we perform better with good line running backrowers. Now everyone knows my stance on Heighno, but ill concede him a starting spot, but it needs to be at lock where he can play a roving role working his butt off cleaning things up, and allow the hole running outwide to be done by the like of Ellis, Galea, Mataka, Dwyer and co. And Sheens must not pick Payten as a backrower ever again for the same reason as Heighno, he cant run the correct lines for Benji and Moltzen.

Lets hope you get banned sooner rather than later aye.

Sheens isn't going anywhere until the end of 2010\. Let's fact it, we've made the finals ONCE since he's been at the club, if we don't make it again this year he won't be sacked.

Doesn't deserve a contract extension unless we make the 8 this year and are a consistent semi finals side after that.
