Time for Potter to donate $10k

I know it is not his style but Potter needs to blow up about Hayne's performance tonight. I know we got beat by plenty but his decisions in the first 30 mins effectively gave us no chance and contributed to our capitulation.

Every other ref would have referred the no try and the e proceeds to give them 4 soft penalties in a row. We didn't touch the ball for the first 20 same as what happened to NSW on Wed night with similar consequences.

We were already facing a massive task away against a professional team with a team thrown together full of rookies.

Time to put some heat on hometown Hayne. The guy is a prentender.

Certainly agree with the sentiment Larry as I was thinking similarly during the match. For me it opened the door for us to fire a broadside at the refs and Potter should have been given a directive and free pass by Mayer prior to fronting the press.

Whilst the Nofo no try ruling was diabolical, what really compounded that was the piggyback penalty straight afterwards. That decision gave them the field position to score, whilst our players minds were still trying to get past Hayne's terrible call.

The big problem is that we do not get a fair go in the ruck area in general, being hard done by in that area again last night, with Buehrer seemingly waiting for a pillow at times. Ten thousand, even for us, should be money well spent as it would most probably have the refs in the coming weeks looking a little more closely at our opposition in defence.

I agree as well, when hasler, bellamy, toovey and Sticky (well the first dozen times) have a public blow up at the refs, they get charged but it forces the issue and they no longer get heavily penalised in the following weeks. I'll put a pineapple on a coach will do it in the run up to the grand final.

It's money well spent. Even if it doesn't get you into the finals, the publicity as "the tigers are hard done by again" in all the would be news articles and tv spots would get the sponsors name out there with the background billboard. Just make sure it's not to negative of a rant and don't use big boy words..

Hayne was a bit like the Tigers last night. Gave (or, in our case, we copped) a bad call and never recovered ….kept a low standard all night. Does anyone else remember when he stitched us up at Canberra about 6 years ago? The worst refereeing I have ever seen. He was dropped completely and came back via touch judge duties. After last night, he needs to dust off his flag waving skills. An incompetent and appalling performance.

It looks like his still holding a grudge. After last nights effort he should be demoted to one of those lollipop people at school crossings. In saying that I personally wouldn't let my kid cross the road there if they had a Tigers jersey on.

Potter has No fire in the belly unfortunately , mild manned and this reflects in the aggression this team shows . I do not agree that you should step up and give it to the refs and get a 10 k fine but also think there could be a case for showing you players that you will not take the rubbish that was dished out last night and will have there backs ..there are obvious reasons why certain coaches do this and it seems to work for most.

The referee, while incompetent, did not drop the ball , miss tackles and give away penalties. There is no game plan or the players cant remember it or dont like it, park footballers would have done a better job last night.

It is hard enough playing against a professional team like Manly, to have the incompetent referee assisting them means we never even had a fair go. The piggy backing on top of the no try meant that we had to play with a distint disadvantage.Time, this ref goes back to reserve grade or banished to touch judge duties. He is a disgrace not only to the NRL but to all referees as well on the way he refereed last night. It wasn't a game that he refereed, he truly slaughtered one team, the way he policed the game.We already know Manly could be too good for us, but I like the game being played fairly, not a one sighted game assisted by the referee. This is the type of game that will turn spectators away. The West Tigers had been hard done by, not once but several times, in which they never truly recovered. The only good thing that came out was, the beaten players never gave up trying. :bash

If it was decisions alone that cost us the game I could understand Potter having a go, but the reality is we were comprehensively outplayed and that was the main reason we lost, not the shockers from the ref.

With the money he gets, I doubt Potter can afford to off load $10k for a team performance like that. If you blokes are so adamant, how about you guys open your wallets and chip in?

And what do you expect a rant to achieve? Officials will always be boneheads regardless of what coaches say.

Apparently a Bulldogs supporter will be chosen at random ( via the big screen ) to referee Sundays game … TRUE !

My response to any questions would of been this

"Show Shayne Hayne the footage of the Nofoaluma try and ask him whether it was a try or no try "

And then answer any other question with a yes or no response

Has the NRL or Hayne apologized yet ??

As I have said numerous times over the last few days its going to take drastic action for the NRL to change its ways and I reckon it will need to come from the players

If we have that many cameras and video replays I think that everything should be checked ….
EVERYTHING ! .. Try's / Strips / Lost balls / Forward passes .............I thought that the old
"Benefit of the doubt " was shit , this system is even worse . I couldn't care if a game went for 90 minutes as long as they get it CORRECT !!!
If this game was played in South America some of these officials would've gone " missing " a long time ago .
