Fickle lot Wests Tigers supporters never thought Id see the day when "A Time for Moltz to return" thread would appear. Must be shaking his head over this one.

Most fans are shaking their heads at how Brooks and Moses have played this year. What is wrong with Moltzen?

Moltz has hardly played in recent times has been crucified by fans for as long as I can remember which he must be aware of, and now this thread. Good Luck to him if he gets a go. He is going to need it.

I,m still trying to get my head around why Blake Austin got the flick, but that deed was probably done by the same idiot that hoisted Korrabete

Didnt Austin ask for a release due to a very good offer from Canberra

There was never a place for him at 5/8 it's not what u know it's who u know or related to.

No way. Moltzen needs to be heading out the door, not being promoted back to FG where he'll shy away from the hard stuff.

Were paying for him THIS year,so whilst the season still has some glimmer of hope left id roll the dice on Moltzen if hes shown any form at all in State cup…in fact, even if he hasnt, hes gotta offer something more than Moses at this particular point of his career.
Realistically we really dont have a lot of options, and staying with the same is unlikely to surprise.

He has done 5% of buggerall in Reggie's this year.

Leave our halves as they are, you guys want success so fast, it doesn't work like that. Success is basically like a sling shot, you go backwards which is the stage we are currently in, you then let go and move forward, success comes with time not overnight. Moses himself as said it will take time to gel, there are signs but they just aren't there yet.

Sums it up really. But people on the forum want instant success. Patience is something SOME on here just don't have. We have the best young halves in the comp but people judge the 20 year olds on a dozen first grade games.

I'm suprised people comparing Bird to Moses. Bird has had instant impact but long term wise Moses is a much more complete footballer.

Bird looks like an Origin player. Moses is struggling with the step to NRL. Youve got nothing but hope and hype to base that on at the moment.

Yep, what we need is Moltzen at half and Anasta back at 5/8 - you guys have got to be kidding! What has happened to some of my fellow Tiger supporters and this Forum?? Anyone who thinks Moses was the reason we lost yesterday has got no idea.

Boggles my mind he still is apart of the club. Not in a bad way, but t it feels like another life time ago since he played. Never had much time for him as a player, but I have genuine sympathy for him for the hell he's been through and actually admire his guts for not having thrown the game away when so many others would have. There is a bit of Brent Tate in him in that regard

I have always liked Moltzen as a player (as does Wayne Bennett btw). Still do. However i think we have gone all in with Moses and Brooks. A decision Im happy with. Moses is trying to play the game his coached has asked of him. Long term it will help his game. My concern with Moses as a youngster coming through was that he was too attacking, was worried he wouldnt be able to play the patience game. As it turns out he is overdoing it.

It is a learning process. Im happy to go through the growing pains as we develop a very talented crop.

Moltzen?

LOL. We're not that desperate. He's been average/invisible in NSW Cup. People forget how strong Moses and Brooks were at NSW Cup level. There are very few players in our entire NSW Cup side who are capable of getting called up to NRL anytime soon.

Moltzen has played 3.5 games in 2 years. He needs another month at least before he could get called up, and then he'd need to be playing in the halves in NSW Cup for one, and playing better than Drinkwater for two.

Have never been impressed with Moltzen. Should have let him go to the dragons when we had the chance.
On Moses, I think he has been getting a bit of a raw deal in showing us his attacking skills. All quality ball in attacking situations goes to our left side and with the quality players outside Brooks rightly so.
Moses has Lawrance outside him who hasn't run a decent angle in attack since Christ was in the cadets.
I'd take The Fresh Prince off his wing and give him a shot at right centre. He is quick and elusive and has a good defensive game and stick Hoiter on the wing. At least then Moses might have some options in attack that he doesn't have now.

Lol you guys are hitting the panic button as many times as you hit the button at a pedestrian crossing light.

I would like to pose a question; How do people compare Moltzen with Lawrence?

Lawrence has had every chance since his injury and even though he has not impressed in any game he has been selected, which is every game he been uninjured, he has impressed. Moltzen had a very serious injury just as catastrophic battled bravely though painful rehabilitation and is now starting to get into his stride. However most people are critical and continue to put him down. Last weekend Moltzen scored a try playing at centre and not his favourite position at 5/8.

It also seems ironic that some are not willing to try Moltzen in first grade yet call for Moses to be given continually chances in first grade even though he has shown very little in six rounds this season.

We did, then Robert Lui beat his missus half to death and left us with no halfback, so Moltzen was hastily recalled.

I think we can give Molz a chance, just to see if he has improved and may help us,I don't think it could hurt….Teddy came back from a terrible injury and we all gave him a chance..just saying..
