Benji has been the 2nd best all year behind Matterson. I don't think theres a half in the comp who could have done much better than what benji has this year, given the limited options he has to work with.

His best year since 2010 and one of the best hes had at the club.

INCONSISTENT !

I call the games as they happen and comment as I see fit .
I don’t sit on my hands for 3 weeks waiting for inconsistent players to have a good game and say ...
“ where are all the critics now “ ?

So point me to these consistently good players.
Very very few. Can hardly count them on one hand.
Smith and Teddy come to mind and then I struggle. Both $1M plus players and what are we paying Benji?

But this is Benji in a nutshell. Rubbish one week, brilliant the next, always trying but with varying returns n the execution. Been like that for most of his career. He needs another couple of games along the lines of what he produced today if we’re any chance.

Happy Tiger - love a fan who admits an error of judgement - we all do that.
However, I never doubted Benji - it broke my heart when he left - being born in Tiger country (Balmain) many, many years ago
we have 2 rules - 1. pick and stick 2. ANY player who helps to win a premiership for the West Tigers has a life time
get out of criticism card.

Having said that - I do believe that Benji will ****NOT**** play on in 2020.

Concern at the moment is what happens to the organisation of the team on field when Beni and / or Robbie are off the field.

For those who wanted to punt Robbie 2-3 years ago - no forgiveness at all - ever.

@colinbh not at all im super excited and was cheering as hard as anyone. But we as a supporter group do not temper our emotions and keep things in perspective. Like i said enjoy this it was sooooooo awesome to watch. Last week benji was horrible and thats ok too. We are to quick to hang our players and to go gaga over them. Just look at large sample sizes.
We are fighting for 8th again and it is largely to do with our cattle. In saying that i will support everyone thats puts the jersey on

Alright mate, show me one match where the forwards are getting up fast, doing a good job through the middle and where Benji was bad. Just one.
No quick ball, no go ahead, no win. Before you bag out Benji have a hard look at our forwards and outside backs. Its easy to be a cronk, smith, whiten behind a monster pack.

Yeah - I didn't open that thread. Like you say, one has to sift through a lot of dross to find the pearls of wisdom.

Benji has a great football brain.

From hooker, he was able to organise, guide the team and control the game.

I noticed the difference when Reynolds went to hooker. Service was slower, passes less accurate, easier to read.

There was definitely a higher tempo when Benji was there and he essentially got us to 30 nil.

He really is an amazing player.
