Time for Woods to Step up also.

Lawrence has more leadership skills in his pinky than Woods has in his entire body. Mr 2040 loves the club so much he won't even commit.

Im a big fan of Woods but i did notice today in the opposition 20m he has way too many touches. It was ok when he was off loading but he seems to have lost that part of his game recently. Still is our best forward by far but less touches in the red zone please. I think T3desco needs to be captain, might help him to re-sign aswell.

Yes but Lawrence has limited Rugby League skills, which should prohibit him from being captain.

I dont like Woodsey as captain and have said so ever since it was first announced he would be. He is reluctant to approach refs, he doesnt get up those not pulling their weight he has lapses in his own form….but there is literally no-one else. Seriously.

Bull. Your captain doesn't have to be your best player. He just needs to lead from the front and have the ability to motivate his team. Two qualities the current captain is sadly lacking.

Furthermore Woods is assessing his situation before he makes a long term decision as he wants to get an understanding of the direction of the club, which, when looking at the calamity of the last 4 years is a wise decision. Lawrence doesn't have that issue because no other club would be interested in him. He's a Tiger for life by default.

You were very quick to defend out incompetent coach for years and now seem very happy to lay into our captain. Sour grapes perhaps?

He's got more bottle than Panda Bear Woods will ever have , and he plays 80 .

Other than that there's no real option .
Unless once a try has been conceded , spider cam zooms across and projects a Hologram of Tommy Raudonikis infront of them and give them a rocket .

I'm not doubting his "bottle", but I am doubting his ability. Last week he dropped more balls than he caught. Lawrence is hopeless. He has been for years.

Thanks for pointing out another one of his wonderful leadership qualities. The great leader won't even back the club and sign. Setting a great example for his teammates there. If the captain isn't going to commit, why should anyone else?

Getting desperate if you think I have sour grapes. I've been critical of Woods leadership for ages. Especially his refusal to commit. Very selfish for a so called captain.

Yes Lawrence is not the best player :unamused:
But IMO he'd still COMMAND more RESPECT and LEADERSHIP than PANDER BEAR WOODS .
Who clearly hasn't got what it takes to be a captain :rant

Who was it that sacked the previous Captian and made Woods Captian.

For what its worth it looked like he was getting up the ref's at half time on the walk back to the tunnel.

Maybe he was asking them who they think the next coach was going to be.

Why would he commit without knowing who the coach is or what the direction of the club will be? At some stage in his career he'd like to play finals football and the way we're going he never will.

You're right, he doesn't. Except as a captain, you need to make sacrifices for your club. Woods doesn't have to commit. But if he doesn't, give the captaincy and hand it to someone who wants to be here.

The fact Woods hasnt re-signed is more a blight on our management then woods himself. He is a NSW and Australian prop. He would probably get less money if he leaves but most players play to win premierships. A new coach needs to be announced asap to ensure this doesnt happen. Rumour has it that bulldogs will sack their coach in the next 48hours which will increase Clearys price tag.

How about ET. Got sick of negotiations dragging so much last year he took over and sorted the deal out himself.
