I don't care what he does in the second half, he HAS to be dropped until he learns how to tackle / not grab.

That soft effort on Anasta was bad enough…..........but that "grab" on Friend was netball stuff. Possibly the weakest goal line tackle i've seen in 30 + years of watching footy. Only the video ref saved us.

Let's not beat around the bush, the kid simply can't tackle and a footy team can't defend 12 v 13 every week.

The miss on Friend was embaressing. An under 14 would be ashamed of it.

You can't arm grab when isolated on your line. Basic fundamentals.

He looks scared as crap when they run at him :frowning:

He made simple linking passes…any half can do that. Miller could do that. No one doubts Lui can link.

The issue is his D.

Agreed 100% he has not come on this year. He is not the future IMO.
 
and why didn't he dive on the ball instead of trying to pick it up and BOMB a try - is this guy afraid of getting hurt - play something else mate
 
I think Lui will develop into a very good player, but I don't think his all out attacking style and attitude is what WT needs from a 7\. With Benji & Farah, we have enough creativity and with Lui there, it gets way too frantic at times. IMO we need a 7 that quietly & effectively guides us round the paddock, with a good kicking game and the personality to take charge and play the percentages when required. Not a superstar- blokes like Brett Finch and Luke Walsh come to mind.

Some people on this forum either have really low IQs or are just whining little b*tches.

Lui isn't a half back.. But he won't get dropped because there is no one better to replace him.

Watched Miller very closely the last two weeks and his Defence is worse than Lui's.

Who else Moltzen ? Nope…. Sironen ? Nope
 
He actually had a good second half and on his defense, we gave Benji and Lawrence a lot of latitude in their early days. Okay I would probably have Moltzen or Miller playing 7, but I would not be changing anything now
