Time to throw everything at Folkes

The time has come for the Tigers 'management' to ditch Sheens and do everything they can to get Folkes back at the club.
His no nonsense attitude will stop the so called 'Boys Club' and get their heads back onto footy. If it means losing Masrshall, so be it.
With the dribble that keeps getting dished up, it wont be long til the crowd figures start dropping, merchandise sales will drop and they will be back in the days of the Terry Lamb coached Tigers.

I for one don't want to return to those days and action needs to be taken now!

Great post, I can't help but wonder how good Humble could have been for us if we didn't have Marshall. I am sure we are better to have him than not, but after some games I just wonder…...

Although I thought Folkes did a great job when he was with us, I think we have go with a younger coach, love Folkes back in some capacity but would prefer Anderson,Taylor Brown or Dymock

The logic that says that Folkes must be good because we played better when he was associated with the club is the same logic that says that Folkes is crap because of what has happened at ST Gillawarra.

Its Anderson or Sheens. End of thread.

I agree we need a change. But Daniel Anderson?? Didn't he get punted from both Parra and the Warriors? That usually happens for a reason so I don't think we should be walking over broken glass to get him. Same goes for Folkes and Nathan Brown IMO

He took both clubs to a grand final. Both volatile clubs, might I add.

And I think it's proven beyond doubt now that Parramatta were idiots for sacking him.

Yes he got punted from both the Warriors & Parra, two noted administrative basket cases. He got punted but not before he took both average rosters to grandfinals and what have either done since, that is without bringing up his pommy credentials.

In my recollection Steelers under Brown, Parra under Taylor, NZW and Parra under Anderson, Dogs under Folkes were not examples of 'grinding/strong defence' teams.
So if the strong defence is our goal we shall look elsewhere.
IMHO, the list is rather short, and my pecking order is: Hasler, Bennett, Bellamy.

I would definitely have Folkes in some sort of role. Like others, I feel there is no coincidence between his being here and our corresponding performances in 2010 and 2011.

Whether as head coach or not I 'm not sure. I would even be glad to see hime work with Sheens for another year as that was a combination that appeared to work.
