To those who are blaming Cleary

I’m not blaming Ivan, apart from that forgettable second half yesterday, he has improved our defense beyond my expectations.

Our error rate is the annoying part.

We won’t win another game unless we stop the schoolboy errors.

The thing that did my head in yesterday was not using that gale to turn around those huge Raider forwards in the first half. They would’ve been so gassed no way they score 38 points after half time.

We are a dumb footy team.

Agreed. Personally I would say Liddle just needs to be picked if he's healthy from now on. Even if he has bad days. He just needs to develop in first grade.

Cleary said in press conference that Liddle needs time in ISP. Don’t expect him back any time soon.

100% correct

We've had a very tough start to the season and fared pretty well the bus has been out of tune lately but with rep round coming up the bus can go in for service the wheel nuts tighten and back on the he road with our new fullback Mybye and conductor (Farah) which hopefully will keep us to timetable if not bring on 2019.

The player managers have got clubs over a barrel with these 4 year deals. They certainly seem to have correlation with the downturn of form with a lot of players.
Blake Ferguson only got a one year deal with Roosters and is having a stellar year.. the beauty of being at a club where players want to play at.

Newcastle supporters are the best supporters in the NRL. They have won a couple of wooden spoons in a row but still the supporters turn up filling their ground at every home game. This year most experts expected Newcastle to really move up the competition table but they haven't. Their supporters still turn up in numbers at every home game and also at most away games. Their supporters enjoy their football irrespective of what position they hold in the table.

Overall during this current season Wests Tigers have performed better than Newcastle but Wests Tigers fans are the greater complainers. Its time for Wests Tigers supporters to positively (not negatively)support their team and turn up to home games up in really big numbers at home games, especially Campbelltown where Wests tigers rarely win.

Yes! Thank you.

I don't think it will happen. .i can see a regroup with us coming back righting but wonder what people's opinions will be if we don't win another game or one or two for the rest of the year. …

We have no feelings, we are west’s tigers supporters…
We feel no highs or lows!
Meh !

Low expectations Wests Tigers fan motto circa 2006..

soon to be followed by the 'next year' posts as we re build onwards and upwards..

We have had good years between 2006 and now.

If you expected Cleary to do better than he has with what he was given then you had irrational expectations in my view.

Cleary recruited or re-signed more than 75% of the current starting 17..Yes I expected him to do better

Yeah but he recruited / re-signed them in the space of, what, 6 months Apr-Oct/17 (not including Mbye)?

One recruitment drive and all issues are fixed, Top 8 here we come? Just because the one coach did the recruitment for that period?

I could have expected Cleary to do better if he'd recruited top-quality players, or a few tactical signings into what was already a pretty good roster. He could not do either in his first season, we went after blokes like Widdop and RTS and they said no, used us to up their current deals.

Most of Ivan's signings were good - Reynolds has not delivered yet, Packer been better than average, Mats a bit average, Rochow was a value signings anyway, Thommo great, Fonua great, Milne self-destructed, Godinet another bargain-bin buy, Benji worked out well so far, Mbye is a pretty good one pending play…

Brooks, Lawrence all clearly improved since Cleary became coach. Marsters given a run and now one of our better players.

Overall I reckon pretty good effort in one-round of signings. Not Cleary's fault either that Tedesco left.

But he's still encumbered with teh rest of the squad. Perhaps yes he recruited 75% of the current 17, it makes sense he'd play the blokes he recruited, but what about the other 13? Aloiai, Sue, McQueen, Grant, Felise, MCK etc. all fairly average FGers

Feeling Major depression today, BUT willing to trust in the conductor for next couple of seasons to see what we can grow into. We have a great brand and really need to match it with performance.

Dont know where i said all the issues would be fixed but Ok im convinced next year will be better….ps Cleary extended Chee Kam..

Why should we just accept it year after year ...one thing i am rapt with Cleary up until yesterday our defense and fight has improved he had our mob of no hopers playing well early on i just question where that went....build forward on the good start not fall in a heap that falls on a he coach and the players...

A lot of one year and two year extensions to get us through the rebuild my friend.

Who would you have had him sign that he did not sign exactly? Ponga? Watson? We had a fair crack at Watson and lost. Is that Cleary's fault?

Not to mention Newcastle are in year three of their rebuild, we're in year one and we're beating them on the ladder.

Crazy expectations around here. Pure pants on head.

Mac, I’m not saying we should hang the guy, but he cannot be immune from criticism atm.

Just give me, any of you, any indication of what he should have done that he hasn't?

Pick a hooker for starters.

And he did multiple times. Godinet according to you wasnt first grade material so he was dropped. You kept calling for KILLA to be picked and he showed us yesterday why he isn’t being picked. Liddle keeps getting injured. With the squad we have , the last thing we can afford is injuries to key players in key positions . Unfortunately we’ve had no luck there with liddle, nofa, Reynolds, Marshall, packer…..

iam with the coach for the time been, BUT what worries me is the fact so many players from other clubs have come on the market, and we have signed none, and most were forwards which we need badly. i would love to know were the hell he thinks he will pull some forwards from, so please IVAN sign some gun forwards sooner rather than later.

Funny how people were praising the signings of packer, mautlino, rochow after 6 rounds. There form drops and they are duds, the coach is a dud, the world is crashing down. We have to have the most down beat supporters in the nrl. People can deny it as much as they want but we are in year 1 of a re build. And when you have to play your 3rd string 5/8 due to injuries then what do people expect. We don’t have the cattle to be having bad luck with injuries.

Souths last year were one of the most mistake riddled no structure rabbles in the competition but with the inclusion of one marquee recruit and a good coach he has turned them into the team to beat this year…hes even got blokes like sutton playing out of his skin.....what have you done cleary, we were a soft mistake riddled dumb team before you arrived...ive seen absolutely no improvement in those areas under your watch
