Interesting they have opted for Moses at fullback and Mulcahy at five eight., id have reversed them….

mind you long term given Moses skill set and slight frame, the move to fullback may suit him better long term...

I prefer Santi in the middle as opposed to the edge..

now im just confusing myself with all this over thinking.

lot of good players in this lot. We do have an excellent crop of juniors currently.

Well Moses did play a few school games at HCC last year at fullback with Brooks and Bayley Sironen in the halves…

A pretty smart move to showcase Brooks back into the U20s , in front of the local Leichhardt home Crowd , in effect saying , I know some of you are sad that Benji is asking for a release , but look what we have waiting in the wings

Give it to me straight, does Rudolph have a chance to be in FG tigers.. Love the kid! Great player but just in at the wrong time I feel, sucks!

Too early to say. He's pretty small so I don't know how he'll go if he stays in the centres/wing. He can play 5/8 but he's got Moses in front of him there.

With both NSW Cup and Holden Cup teams final bound, what are they going to do with Brooks and Co? That is, keep switching them each week, or focus on one and not the other?

He's bigger and stronger than what you think! But if he does go on to play FG it won't be for the Tigers!

I assume Rudolph will be playing for another club next year then Tigercrib?

From the limited things I have seen of Rudolph , what are people thoughts on turning him into a specialised bench hooker ??

He'll be forever stuck with a utility tag. Whilst he's a good player, he's never dominated one position enough to show he can make it in first grade.

He's never been given a position long enough to dominate!! IMO with the right coach and time to settle into the right position, he will make 1st grade! Unfortunately I don't think it will be at the Tigers!

I like RUdolf but feel he is just shy of regular first grade. He may play some first grade, but cant see him becoming a regular.

Mate he had more than half a year to make the #6 jersey his own last year and fell to pieces half way through the year. Was then moved to fullback and sucked even more.

Mate you obviously don't know what you're talking about!
If you were in the know you would know that the only reason Rudolph was moved to fullback in the first place was to cover Rowe who got quite sick! It had nothing to do with him playing badly at #6! Payten also made reference in an article on the Tigers website that he was happy with Rudolph's progress at #6.
Also, while Rudolph was in the halves with Miller the team was playing at its best, have a look at the win/loss ratio!

When Rowe returned from being ill Rudolph should have gone back to 5/8 but Payten said he left Rudolph at fullback because he was playing well and even though Rowe had not done anything wrong he will have to bide his time to regain the fullback position!
It wasn't until late in the season Rudolph went a little off the boil and that was when he was playing fullback not 5/8!
And to end the season as the competitions top points scorer, he couldn't have sucked that bad mate!!

How about fullback replacement for teddy?

I believe he's naturally a 5/8 but with the right coach I don't see why he couldn't be a FG fullback. He's a very adaptable player and I think has proven that with his crash course in the centres this year but I don't think Payten know's what to do with him, hence throwing him around every back line position this season!
At the end of the day Payten is a prop not a fullback, 5/8, halfback or a centre…... So unfortunately his coaching is limited in these areas with knowledge and experience!

Tigers started the NYC last year pretty well, and yes Rudolph was a big part of that. Then he had a terrible loss of form mid-season, as did the team. They had a solid run to the finals and he was not a part of the side then.

He is a good player but IMO nowhere near good enough to make first grade
