Jordan Marshall-King? Why is there a King after his name? Typo?

Been there for some time. He is Benji's half-brother. I'm guessing that King is the surname of Jordan's father.

No Koriobete again.

how far away is Sironen?
Where do you think they will play Siro…Rudolf is going really well at 5/8, you'd think he would stay there, the back seems to be strong also.

Whoever misses out will be unlucky

I think Siro might be moved to lock. It was always heading that way and Rudolph's form should seal the deal. I understand Koriobete has a pretty seriously shoulder injury and will be out for some time.

Santi was last years Aus schools skipper, and seemingly has a big future, would be a big call to drop him to the the bench. The back row is strong.
Obviously Sironen has to play, and my guess would be lock, will be unfortunate for whoever misses out. Nice problem to have

Does anyone know who the back-up Halfback is for NYC if Miller is out? Would they bring up Moses or do they have someone playing Bundy Cup?

probably have rudolph and marshall king control the play in the middle but they could maybe chuck in billy kitt would be intersting to see if miller does get a call up

NYC PREVIEW: BIG PACK CONCERNS TODD PAYTEN

Wests Tigers face their stiffest test to date in the NYC competition when they tackle Canberra Raiders at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Monday night.

Like the second placed Wests Tigers, the Raiders have won 2 of their 3 matches in the NYC. Wests Tigers go into the match on the back of a 28-10 win over St George-Illawarra last Friday night.

Wests Tigers NYC Coach Todd Payten said Canberra are a dangerous outfit.

“They are a bigger side than most in the competition so in order to counteract that, we’ll need to put their bigger guys under more pressure,’’ Payten said.

“To do that we need to look for quick play the balls and get their bigger guys to make back to back tackles.

“They have a dangerous half back, Mitch Cornish, as well a very big front rower in Shannon Boyd. We’ll need to work hard to stop both of them.

“Their five-eighth, Jake Wighton, is also an extremely talented player but he has been playing first grade for the last two weeks on the wing and been doing well.

“Across the park, their side is pretty experienced from last year so we’ll have our work cut out if we are to beat them.”

Payten said his side must focus on their completion rate.

“Against the Dragons we completed 15 from 17 sets in the second half and we’ll need to repeat that performance again if we’re to beat the Raiders,’’ he added.

Payten has pleased with the progress of five-eighth Manaia Rudolph.
The former rugby player is equal leading pointscorer in the NYC heading into this weekend. Rudolph has scored 4 tries and kicked 12 (from 19) goals for a total of 40 points in three rounds.

“Manaia has had very little experience in rugby league and has plenty still to learn. We are really only scratching the surface with the kid,’’ Payten said.

“(Half-back) Jacob Miller takes a lot of the pressure off him and directs the side and is the main voice in the team. They complement each other well.”

Sironen is hopefully only a couple of weeks away. I'd be throwing him in at lock given the Tigers boast a small forward pack and he'll add another dimension as far as attack goes with his ballplaying ability.

Andrew Vela and Koroibete are both out indefnitiely. Jesse Su is due back next week.

Santi will be pretty hard to take out of Lock Willow… He would be in the Top 5 players this year.

Does anyone feel Sironen could play Right Centre or even Second Row?

Both centres are highly rated too Watto. Who knows where they'll end up playing Sirro?

Oh yeah, and Canberra's front rowers both weigh in excess of 120kg.

Fotuaika is a gun and a better prospect than BM-M was at the same time in his career. Has come down from Keebra with big wraps and from the 4 times I've seen him play this season I can understand why.

I would be looking at getting him into the NRL 17 around mid season… if not sooner!

Paasi was also very impressive against the Raiders. Dynamic runner of the ball and doesn't mind getting in the face of his opponents either!

He'll get his chance if FG keep going the way they are Staks.

i agree replacing Santi isnt the way to go,shouldnt sirro have to work his way back into the side

The only reason that Santi was starting Lock was due to Inosesio's ankle injury that he got against Manly up at Bluetongue Stadium against Manly.

Santi may produce his name from his Australian Schoolboys gig but all in all his only decent performance was against the raiders on Monday night.
Before that, all I seemed to see from his was dropped balls.

I agree that Sironen shouldn't automatically get his place back in the side, but I don't think Lock is the position for him at all. Defence needs to be strong through the middle and having someone who is just coming back from major surgery on his shoulder is probably not the best way to go as it is a very defensively demanding position.

He needs to play where he is comfortable first before he progresses to any other position on the field.
I think you are all forgetting that Jesse Sue was the starting Lock last year so I think that he would have rights over Sironen for lock anyway.

Its going to be a couple of very interesting weeks.

yeah but by towards the end of the regular season, most NYC teams will be playing most of their 2nd year players.
seen it happen last year and season b4 that, most of the first year players get an oppurtunity early in the season,if they are good enough they will be picked later in the year
