Good centre and plays much better their then wing.

He needs to make less errors but we also need to remember he just turns 21 - he is still eligible to play in Jersey Flegg this year - so all the talk about Ogden or Kei or other kids from jeresey flegg - they are the same age as Talau and he is doing it in FG already

Talau and Kepaoa our future centre pairing? Talau played left side tonight which is good because Kepaoa has that great left to right pass.

Has to stay at centre and be given confidence. Can be a good player the errors are becoming big issue. Has the talent and tonight’s game without the errors is solid.

Too many errors in that pairing. We’d never have the ball.

Let’s not get to carried away with talau cause he’s had all the chances kid never gets dropped doesn’t. Matter how he plays every coach has. His favourites

Agree with others. His qualities are much more obvious when at centre but still a few too many errors. Still think worth persisting with - hopefully they keep him in centre for rest of year. Played on left tonight though pretty sure his favoured side is right (though obvs Doueihi killing it there atm).

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. He was good tonight, and probably the reason Madge has persisted with him is he knew he has performances like the one we just saw tonight in him

I want to see him back it up though. I really felt for him after that first error, I thought he’d turn to water. But credit to him, he turned it around completely and played wel

I like Talau as a centre and feel he has the potential to become a solid first grader but a few games in reserve grade to work on his ball handling would help his overall game

I'd give tonight a 4/10
Not quite a pass yet but better than other games he's played.
He really needs to improve.

He reminds me a bit of last year's garner tbh. Goes well but his errors are real game changing. Hopefully he can have a garner like turn around with his consistency

Have a +1 to offset whoever down-voted you, I agree with your assessment.

TT was a 2 last week, 4 this week, and hopefully a 6 next week.

Honestly I don’t think a few weeks in reggies is going to improve his hands. Maybe it’s a fitness thing but I just think he is always going to be one of those guys with dodgy handling.

There have been a few over the years that have made good careers that had dodgy hands, but not too many. You have to be really good in other areas to compensate and I don’t think Tommy is. He does have a good strike rate for tries though so maybe if he keeps that going he can hold a spot.

I think his dumb mistakes come from trying to play faster than he needs to. Maybe its a warm up issue. His errors are early in the game mostly. He just needs to settle and prioritize on ball security, slow down and get into the game.

better but still not where he needs to be. what he does need though, is time at centre. no more Leilua, let him live out his back row dream in state cup. if we're going to get anything out of Talau, it will be by persisting with him in the centres.

Post win brekky with Nofo.

I've yet to see him play well against a good team. When he makes those errors against any team thats not a depleted Knights/Dragons, we will pay (Warriors last week).
