On the Weststigers web page it lists 35 players for the NRL squad. I have no idea why 35 are pictured if its a top 25 squad, not sure who the specific top 25 are but here they all are -

Ive keeped 19 with 15 to be shown the door and out the 19 over half of them are on very thin ice.

Blind Freddy can see that roster is abysmal, no wonder we are coming last this year and in all likelihood will back it up next year with no signings in sight. All we will be doing next year is throwing another 4 or 5 youth squad players in the team to replace the nuffies cut after 2015\. So by 2017 with Farah probably gone we should have about 3-4mill to spend?? Surely when the Brooks and Moses experiment fails we will at least be able to buy a premiership team for 2017/18.

Our side is crap and until we do what Penrith did we will get no where, purchase under rated players, for instance Whare, Docker, then the time comes to purchase big names for example Merrin, Soward.

i have just joined as i need to have my say on what is going on at this club.
i think that when they say top 25 it means each club has to have a minimum 25 players on their books and each club has to pay its players the cap.if you check other clubs rosters most of them carry around 28 but our club decides to carry 34.that means we have to spend the cap or around the 6.5 mil to pay all of them.this is how stupid our club is…why not cut back to 28 and instead of paying plodders 250k each why not buy a decent player 500k..i am pretty sure how this works but could be wrong.

things arent nearly as bad as people think. we need to keep improving our roster slowly and giving experience to our halves primarily.

i dont know whether JT is the man to take us to a premiership but he will get more than 1 year, thats for sure.

name a single club since 2000 thats offloaded half their entire bloody team and then gone to be successful within 2 years.

Im not saying that the club should drop this many players today and pay out contracts of course they wont. What muppet would even think this was what I was saying. Its merely a wish list pointing out the fact the squad is full of crap.

Said players should not be resigned once their contracts are up (most in the next year or 2 which would bring us to 2017 with a full cap to spend) most should be actively shopped around now to offload. 75% of the above team listed should be nowhere near a first grade football field.

With attitudes like this "things aren't nearly as bad as people think" just make me vomit in my own mouth, shows how some supporters of this club are happy to support mediocrity year in year out. Well phyr3, you keep being happy with the team that's running last while ill continue to be pissed off that we are running last.

Ever hear of the Wests Tigers? Think about our squad list in 2003 and then think about our squad list that won the comp in 2005\. Check mate.

I don't think it will be the club offloading players as much as players leaving of their own accord. Who in their right mind, with a contract ending this year, would be mustard to sign on again? Wins breed wins, and losses make for headlines. I think over the next 2 years will determine how much the players are buying into the JT plan, i.e. the likes of Teddy, Kapow, etc. and if they see it through.

Don't think that's how top 25 work. In those 34 players named, the top 25 is simply the 25 highest paid players.

Now they say that we are stretching our cap with these 25 players which I think is either bs or that we are front loading contracts of woods, teddy, Moses etc to give us relief for the next few years.

Don't think we are paying any for Blair, Austin, bodene etc.
