we should aim for fifth place and possibly play north queensland at dairy farmers. betting than going to melbourne, better than playing manly or st. george illawarra in week 1 and possibly last week.. what do you guys think? we need to put away st.george this week.
 
Definitely need to aim for 5th but looking at the draw I think realistically we can finish 6th… need to continue with our improvement of late tho!

isnt that what they do in north queensland. Serously we have the wood on them since the grand final. forgot about the broncos. anyway - just hope we play north queensland

Kaiser the Broncos I reckon are going to get third and we will hopefully get sixth And we can beat the Broncos in Brisbane I will be there to savour the win
 
I would prefer to play any Sydney based side as it will be played at either the Stadium or SFS ..thats as good as a home semi IMO… forget wanting to play interstate thats crazy!.
 
yes i also think we can beat brisbane in brisbane. what a way to send off lockeyer. wests magpies finished off sterlings career and possibly wests tigers to see of lockeyer. wouldnt that be sweet.

Snake If 1 or 2 lose we get the home advantage if we win the 3 v 6 game and still get a second chance even if it goes the other way we would play the Cowboys which I think will be in Brisbane also (I don't think Townsville passes the guidelines does it ??) Sure beats finishing 7th losing first week and your out imo
 
yeah fricken titans let newcastle score 50 points ..the only team to do it this year
but hey at the end of the day we can only control what we do ,and that should be

Exactly mate we should only worry about ourselves. Keep the effot up and the rewards will come.

BTW how pathetic are the titans? :laughing: I love it.
 
yeah I hope we SMASH the titans in a rew weeks, though knowing us we will beat the dragons next week and lose to them and the sharks

I agree Snake. Give me Saints or Manly at the SFS/ANZ anyday.
 
If we didn't drop so many points against the garbage teams, we'd be in the top 4 too. Dogsx2, Roosters, Titans, Rabbitohs and Eels, thats 12 points right there, if we won them all we'd be in first. Heck, even winning 4 of them would have us equal with Manly on 32 points. Apart from those 6 games the only teams who have beaten us are St George, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Exactly right, we are doing well to be 8th on 24 points, we could of easily lost the tight games which include
coming back from 18-10 to beat penrith 20-18
knights game scored in last few mins to force into E/T and win 17-16
scored 22 unanswered points to beat warriors 26-22
trailed 12-8 against the roosters then came back and win 19-12
then this weekend was the best of the lot, trailing 12-0 against a inform manly side and coming back with 14 points in the second half to win 14-12
 
The mid third of this season wasn't much worse than the mid third of last season, it's just last season we were getting some wins that we almost didn't deserve to get when we were playing pretty poorly. It wasn't until around this time last year that we really started to play well, and ultimately missed the grand final by a point. Hopefully we can build some momentum and ride it into the finals and go deep again.
